Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2024)
Good Series. Great Acting. Disappointing Cliffhanger.
While I was pleased with the series, it stresses me to know they ended season one without closer. Life is full of drama stress and chaos but we hope good entertainment would allow us to escape reality even for a moment, complete with a closer, even if it is not always a happy ending. I'm don't believe I will be watching or recommending season 2 with new lead characters if they are not going to give viewers the satisfaction of a closer to what happens with the Donald Glover and Maya Erskine characters in season 1. I became so emotionally attached to to the actores, their characters, and the their experiences. That's my two cents. I hope it's worth more yo the writers, director and producers and they listen.
All Rise (2019)
Dancing At Los Angeles - Shelter In Place episode
I truly enjoyed the Dancing At Los Angeles - Shelter In Place episode that aired tonight. It was moving, enlightening, supportive, and enjoyable. The last 10 min. was exceptionally nice. Way to go everyone!
Pandemic (2016)
Funds to make this movie should have gone to medical research
Terrible! Instead of telling a good story, it focused on making yiu jumo or be in shock. The thing that was shocking was the stupidity of the characters. Im confident that no rational human would act or react like these characters. Funds to make this movie should have gone to medical research. This could have otherwise been a promising movie had they just told a good story. If you remove the scare tactics, bad video shots, and the irrational characters, the movie was ok.
Queen Sono (2020)
A different perspective
Judge it for yourself. Its time for change and a welcomed one. I enjoyed the Queen Sono series. It's a different perspective from the usual stereotype that ppl are druggies or villains or under educated or side kicks. No, not your typical hollywood pics. Thats what i really like about it.
Pearl Thusi is awesome! So talented. She speaks multiple languages fluently. Many great fight scenes, though i can do without her grunting sounds. I'm sure she will perfect it by next season. Oh yeah, she's beautiful.
The supporting cast is great. They are all intertwined and one awesome moving part. Director, writing, location, photography, lighting, costumes, designs, music. It all comes together. I applaud them all. I'm looking forward to the next season.
SPOILER
Dont be discouraged from viewing this series with a mostly actors of color cast. Watch it and determine for yourself and push a high rating so that we're sure to get new seasons from Netflix.
Movies that elevate people of color in a positive light with whites as villains are often given lower ratings scores by critics. Sprinkle in a spoonful of "people of color pride" in the script and thats a guaranteed recipe for a one or two star rating.
There is a cliffhanger at the end of the first season that will leave you wanting more. You know Sono is out to avenge.
Church (2010)
Loved the concept and goal but lack quality.
Obviously a low budget movie but the concept is nice. The sound quality is definitely annoying as it clearly transitions from studio recorded songs overdubs and acting voices. I was hopeful for this movie. We could use more high quality movies that depict good morals.
The music sounds great. The acting was ok. The lighting needed help. The storyline could have used a few revisions. The singing voices were excellent. As I watched, I couldn't help but feel like some significant footage was left on the cutting room floor.
Lastly, at the end of the movie, I was shocked to see that Daryl Coley's name was not in the credits (other than sound track) as supporting actor in the movie. I dont if it was an oversight or he didn't want his name mentioned or associated.
