High School (2022– )
10/10
This is really good, surprised it didn't get more attention.
18 July 2023
This show appeared by luck in my feed in "more like this" imdb section.

It feels, by the number of ratings that amazon didn't really bothered to invest too much in advertising for this show.

This show has so much soul, the characters and their actions feel so real. This kind of shows about teenagers are so rare in this days. I had no idea at what to expect from this. At first I thought that the 2 leading actors play themselves in a story about their high school and the beginning of their career of musicians. Only then i found that it is based on real life duo Canadian Tegan and Sara.

After i watch the show, i searched about their musical career, and found alot of good songs, my favourite we're definitely some of their old acoustic sessions. Watching on YouTube some of their interviews, they are so funny and those banters in concerts are absolutely a joy to watch. Also, the book and audiobook are so good, especially because they are narrated by the authors themselves.

My only fear is that they will not get a second season, and will not be able to finish the story. They found the perfect cast, not only the leading cast that are perfect for their counterparts, but also all the group of friends and their family. Maybe they should have made a miniseries with longer episodes?

It will be a shame to be cancelled, because it's alot of heart put into this show. Tegan said that she hope for 4-5 seasons, but in this days is hard to keep people's attention for such a long period of time, especially if it's not a commercial success. I hope that they will get more seasons, the story deserves to be told till the end.

Succession: With Open Eyes (2023)
Season 4, Episode 10
My eyes are open, but I can't see the end.
21 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I can't choose a note for this episode, it's impossible. None of the characters got their arc closure because of the last 5 minutes.

It feels like the creator didn't had in mind a series finale but a season finale. Like in those other 3 seasons, he likes to make a twist in the last minutes of the season. He should have write it like a series finale.

After the build up of the last episode, it felt like the normal course will have been for ken to be the ceo. Otherwise why would they write those scenes where the siblings are finally connecting each other, with shiv and rome being happy that they can hold the company as a family, have ken as a ceo, and more importantly that they can get revenge on Matsson and what he represents.

I don't understand what happened in the last 5 minutes. Nothing made any sense. I understand that she had a change of heart for ken, but why would she sell the company with her vote? Couldn't just vote for him, and then to try and get her chance again at ceo in a new vote at a later date?

Tom being a ceo at a company that will radically change because of the sale, it feels random and doesn't matter, he is easily replaceable. Let's not forget the guy was barely able to be the head at atn, let alone a big role like a ceo in a new company.

Also, shiv is the vote that decides if the company will be sold, don't you think Matsson will have contacted her to promise back the ceo role if she will vote for the sale? This will make at least sense for why would she vote against her family.

Better Call Saul: Rock and Hard Place (2022)
Season 6, Episode 3
1/10
Could have been a great episode
25 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The first part of the episode, with Nacho is very good. The camera work, the suspense of the chase, the clever escape, then the emotional phone with his father, where they both conclude that there is nothing more to tell, Nacho already set his way.

But i just couldn't enjoy anything from the last scene, because even if it was a good preparation, every character with the exception of Varga had plot armour. Mike, Gus, Salamanca, the brothers, Bolsa, Victor... well, you know they all are in Breaking Bad!!! So, of course Nacho will die there, there is no room for surprise, i knew the second the scene start that this will be just to kill him, because no one else could have die there.

Maybe the episodes deserves an 8 for the work, but i am going to give 1, because having so many characters from BB, actually made this show to never have his own legs, ruining any surprise.

Confusing end of an already disappointing season
30 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Season 1 was pretty great. I love the atmosphere of the show. Characters that i care for are rue, jules and fez... all very interesting characters to watch how they evolve. Too bad in the season 2 jules is only present as a girlfriend of rue, writers forget she had a complicated life of her own. Rue problem with drugs is portrait in season 1 as a way to escape from the nothingness she felt her entire life, and being capable this way to live. In season 2 writers shifting this problem to her father loss, which concentrate on her speech at the funeral, told to many times during this season.

Then fez, actually we get a lot more about fez in this season. His relationships with lexi is the best part of the season.

Really liked the part where he says to lexi he doesn't like social media, and like to discover her in real life, not through what she post online.

Worst part of the episode goes to Elliot. A 5 minutes that felt like an hour, a totally misplaced moment, poor Rue had to listen all that. She is way too nice when sober haha.

They shouldn't have continued the idea with the theatre. One episode was more than enough. Very confusing last episode.

Then they ruined fez story with bringing the police, killing ash in the process. All over the place. He should understand that this is not GOT where you kill characters for shock value. It's just out of story.

Shows like mr robot, dark, breaking bad they are great primarily because they can stick to the original ideas they had in the first place. Changing the writing for characters from one season to another makes everything fall apart.

Season 1 - 9 Season 2 - 5 for fez and lexi story and the episode 5 with rue Last episode - 3 very disappointing.

People are complaining this episode get 1* star rating.

But it did not bother them when the previous episodes was rated 10 from 2k+ ratings, even if the episodes didn't come out.
