The Haunting (1963)
Hard to Watch Alone
This movie has to be put high on the list as the most frightening movie ever produced. The black and white version really makes this film standout as terror X terrifying. Don't and I repeat don't watch this movie alone. My family freak out when I want to watch this again. Julie Harris nails the Eleanor character as so scary we cannot think anyone could have done better. Should be all by itself in another category alone. Never knew a movie could shock your inner soul so much. The dark is now a fear as a adult embarrassing to admit. Don't even bother with the remake. It is truly terrible. Should be Halloween # 1 movie.
Harry and the Hendersons (1987)
Family Supernatural
When you go to the movies entertainment is a must. This movie is a must and should be given every accolade that is associated with a warm smile of peace and joy.
The Prodigy (2019)
Very Much a Thriller/Horror
I not sure why this movie was panned but to me when I go to the movies I want to be entertained and this movie delivers right on the money. Taylor Schilling's performance was just short of magnificent. Go. see this movie
Jojo Rabbit (2019)
Uneven Anticipation of Drama
I desperately wanted this film to entertain me but it spit little out of its uneven scrip occasionally keeping my attention to pick up speed which delivered a thud. Drink a lot of coffee to keep up your attention.
The Good Dinosaur (2015)
Animated Masterpiece
Loveable monsters of the prehistoric age that compels us to begin to think a sequel would be embraced with as much enthusiasm. A Film that will be enjoyed by all ages. Get this film that your movie library be proud to own for ages.
The Irishman (2019)
Awesome & Meh
If you would like to watch classic superstars of the cinema waste 31/2 hours of you life but keep you engaged with anticipation then smile you are on candid lethargy
The Thing from Another World (1951)
Scary and Timeless
Although this movie is fiction the possibility is that it could happen is frightening enough. This film is a sci-fi classic that never gets old and stands way above the (Kurt Russell Thing) and doesn't even belong in the same breath. Kenneth Tobey delivers as a hero and a leader a keeps the audience in check despite the evil thing(James Arness) menacing persona.
A Christmas Love Story (2019)
Nothing to write home anout
If you are desperate for a holiday movie this yawner would be one of my last choices. Nothing really happens to keep you entertained.
A Shot in the Dark (1964)
I named my small business after this movie Classic
Peter Sellers stole this whole movie about a inept bumbling detective that I could not wait to see what he messed up next.. the best Pink Panther ever.. so funny and offbeat.. Elke Sommers was the ultimate "10" long before Bo Derek...laugh out loud smash for years.. not to be missed
Last Christmas (2019)
When the popcorn went south...
So did this movie. The best I can say is that if the two leading actors were replaced it would have been decent... boring dialog...Amelia Clarke has no presence on the screen... for that matter no one else did either... George Michael soundtrack was good but too many of his songs were a bit much
The Chumscrubber (2005)
Awesome Except..
Entertainment at its finest except I would of gave a 10 because it should have been shot in black and white to bring out the theme of eccentric normal.. color lessened the dramatics
Guess Who's Coming to Dinner (1967)
Spencer's Lecture Worth the Price of Admission
Probably the best part of any movie of this type is the message it sends to the audience and the last lecturing scene of Tracy's superb job on this film will be remembered probably forever. It tugs at your heart and your philosophy of life.
The Caine Mutiny (1954)
Fred MacMurray Steals This
A great performance by the legendary Bogart but Fred MacMurray delivers the knock blow with his conceited arrogance coming through to an audience of thespians never Better put together in a movie that should be pleasing for multiple decades. Every actor had their part down to tee. 10 stars x 2
The Artist (2011)
Am I Missing Something
If you want to sleep in the movies this is the film to go see. So boring is a understatement. When I go to the movies I want entertainment. How could the academy vote this a best picture. I would highly avoid this celluloid disaster like the plague. However Uggey the dog brought a little life to this but not much.
Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964)
Greatest Acting Performance x 3
Peter Sellers in his heyday does a outstanding job of acting in 3 separate performances that do not conflict with each other and provides almost a one man show. If you did not know it was him you would be most pleased with these performances. Still nevertheless they were outstanding and bright to life loose ends of this eccentric film
The Thing from Another World (1951)

Lilies of the Field (1963)
The Charm of the Desert
The beauty of this film is the way the film is shot as a testimony of faith in a dusty uninviting setting. Every frame feels like a score card of triumph. Mr. Poitier delivers on every one and brings us to a satisfying reward. Every time I see this movie something new appears on every level.
The Graduate (1967)
Simon&Garfinkel Perfect Soundtrack
You couldn't find a better soundtrack for the Graduate even if it wasn't originally written as the soundtrack. The underwater scene, the drive up the California Coast etc... all perfect for this movie. A Film marriage made in Heaven.
Tombstone (1993)
Doc Holiday vs Johnny Ringo
Could not have written a better western movie scene with Val Kilmer as Doc Holiday and Michael Biehn .as Johnny Ringo .Tombstone is the western that most westerns should be with gunfights, love and family ties all rolled up into one fantastic movie. Sorry Burt Lancaster and Kirk Douglas but Kurt Russel's Gunfight at O.K. Corral has you beat.
The Art of Racing in the Rain (2019)
Love and Loyalty of Mans Best Friend
Loved this movie from the very beginning frame to the very last. If you love a good story of love and inspiration. You will love this film. Destined to be a true classic. Costner might be the first to win a Oscar for his voice of Enzo. Bring some tissue a tearjerker of the extreme.
Soundtrack was superb and perfect.
The Upside (2017)
Most Enjoyable and Entertaining
When I go to the movies I want a film to to inspire me and "The Upside" did. I don't know why this got such bad reviews. I would highly recommend it.
