Five Days at Memorial (2022)
Perfect picture of the human nature in crisis.
I do not live in the US and until seing this movie I was not aware of the amplitude of that catastrophe. I have no idea if the presented events are accurate and match the reality. If the story is indeed real I find it unfathomable to focus on a doctor and turn him/her into a scapegoat, while first of all that person was not in charge at that time and no other alternatives were provided. We expect from the doctors, who are also humans, humans who spent years of sleeples nights studying and taking care of sick people, to undo in a few days what we manage to do to our bodies in years. That is why during the last episodes of this series I was asking myself if indeed the things are so messed up in the US, when istead of finding the root problem and be sure to prevent future perfectly preventable incidents you go and hunt down a doctor, who could have chosen to go home before all hell went lose. Why was not the movie focused on how the state failed its citizens and that was just a back ground story?
It is easy to judge from a position of comfort.
Every movie tells a story and this one tells a story that makes you think.
Sentinel (2024)
It seems made by amateurs
It is said never judge a book by its covers but you cand judge a movie by its first three minutes. I started to watch it because I was intrigued by the ratings from Italy, a huge discrepancy and I thought that maybe it's some querky european movie. The story would not be that bad but most of the actors are (non-convincing, like reading a script, no emotion) and the soundtrack... please, have merci! Music makes everything. It is monotonous like in a bad video game. The filmography ... simply bad. No dynamic. The only decent thing in the whole movie was the decor, the scenery. This would be good if you like to watch movies, make fun snarky comments and laugh with your friends or have a background while doing other more ... grown up interesting activities.

You'll love this movie
I just love this movie. I didn't know what to expect entering the movie theater because I haven't read any reviews before seeing it. I am glad I chose to see it. The plot: nice story, it could happen to anyone; and I like how the main character managed the situation after all. The actors: I just love Kirstin Scott-Thomas(British actors have something that make a difference, most of them are beginning their career in theater, their act is more profound)I saw her in "The English patient". She's a gorgeous lady. Jessica Biel was a nice surprise too, nice Tango dancing. The filming locations: I just love England.I don't know...every detail made a good impression on me. A great surprise.Thank you!
