Rick and Morty: Night Family (2022)
Still not smart again yet
Its less bad than s04 but still feels not on par.
This show might need a few years between seasons?
My condition for a show/movie being really good is that it surpirises me, not as in jump scares, but in a way that I couldnt have made up better (less bad) myself. Season 1 2 and 3 is great, not because I saw it before all the others, I didnt, I was a late adopter and didnt see all until after season 3.
As usual, all the action scenes feels like filler, (go watch season 4 if you like these, I couldnt watch season 5 since season 4 was so bad and didnt take it up until this season) probably because they are.
I wish Roiland and Harmon becomes millionaires just because the old good early seasons, but why are they letting hacks write the scripts? They are still soing the voices?
The Northman (2022)
Rushed, yet slow and boring.
I wanted to like this, but its too weak.
Nothing in this was engaging, acting was ok but the dialogues are cheesy so it was just annoying after a while.
The action was lame.
Reacher (2022)
Started good
Started good and interesting, then tied up all the loose ends kinda half a*sed. The hero is somewhat of a bore and therefore not 100% likeable. Anyway it was entertaining.
The Night Of (2016)
If you are cute and smart you shouldn´t have to go to prison
If you are cute and smart you shouldn´t go to prison even if you might be guilty of murder. That was the message?
This was incredibly well told, great cliffhangers, and best of all: It felt more as a personal story than a political pamphlet.
Very solid all the way, acting, pacing, dialogue.
However I did not find Tuturros quirky foot thing funny.
Star Trek: The Next Generation: First Contact (1991)
One of my favourite episodes
I wish they did atleast half a season on this subject.
An earth like planet on the verge of warpdrive evolution.
SciFi at its core. I would so like to see more takes on the ethics in high tech.
Like, the guy with the horse and carriage showing up protesting NASAs vanity project (not my opinion) with traveling to the moon when people are starving on earth etc.
Scientists could weigh in with: "This and that gene were found in unexpected organism X but got transfered to cornplants making them bigger and more resilient and saved people from starvation, lord knows what we´ll find on mars yada yada"
Watchmen (2019)
Political instead of personal, please do it the other way.
This show insists upon itself.
It fails to keep me interested, has no likable charachters.
