Disgusting, it's the point

It appears people are vote bombing because they don't like seeing guts, gore, and buffalo getting killed. Buffalo co-evolved with American Indians for thousands of years as a hunted animal. They were hunted sustainably and revered. Nobody is endorsing the killing of buffalo to this extent; that is the point of the movie to show the atrocities by Americans in the 1800s. If you are disgusted, the film has done its job.

I thought the supporting cast was a little weak but the writing was on point. Beautifully shot, Nicolas Cage hits a home run for his character (perfectly casted by the way), and a wonderful conclusion. This one is worth a watch.

Ooze and ninja turtles are the only things in common with the source material. This movie is so far from the original- if not for the main characters it would be unrecognizable. I get that novel material should be welcomed in Hollywood these days but I believe there is a balance.

If you are a fan of the original show or movies, you will be sorely disappointed.

If you approach this with an open mind, you'll probably still be disappointed. The characters are more annoying than funny.

The only reason why I would give it 2 stars instead of 1 is the usage of "He-man sings heyayaya". The transition from the original 3 Non-Blondes to a 20 year old meme was a nice homage to the times when people were less sensitive and funnier, and responsible for my solitary "hah" for the duration of the entire film.
