Rebel Moon - Part One: A Child of Fire (2023)
Poor man's Star Wars
This is just a Star wars rip off with SS inspired baddies... The entire premise of the film, the poor oppressed farmers try to overthrow the evil overlords, it's lazy, contrived and tired, it's been done a million times before, just as badly. There were entire scene's lifted from Star Wars, the fight on the platform, the cantina scene etc etc, not even sure how they didn't get sued by Lucas films for this blatant plagiarism... I sure hope they don't waste another penny making part 2. Because if they don't I won't be wasting any time watching it. The quality of films these days is dire, they seems to favour quantity over quality.
Unknown: Cosmic Time Machine (2023)
Hyperbolic junk...
What a waste, I thought this was going to be about the making, launch and operation of JWST. Instead it's just a over hyped ego trip for some very dumb people who no one cares about...the boss of the operation is the biggest t**t I've seen on TV in a while, really does rate himself. This should have been about the science and the telescope not the people and their amazing egos, they all burned through billions of dollars that could have been used to help actual humans on earth instead of looking at distance galaxies that doesn't really effect anyone, seems like such a waste of money really, how do they get away with it?
Luther: The Fallen Sun (2023)
More holes than Swiss cheese.
This did not need to be a film, a few episodes of Luther would have been fine.
The locations team need a talking to, the police seem to be endlessly driving around Canary Wharf, then they cut to Soho, Spitalfields then piccadilly circus... It was stupid, then in a moment's notice they jump the channel go to France then they end up in somewhere that looks like the Article circle, which is so cold it snows indoors yet no one even seems cold!
This was a very lazy film, the storyline was lifted from my little eye, the saw etc etc etc etc just rehashed nonsense really, Luther needs to hang up his boots.
