WOW... Impressive TV
29 October 2022
I stumbled upon this show in Spain knowing that came from a best selling novel. But I was not ready for such a complex, dark, violent (Sometimes funny) Tv show.

The plot is great and full of twists but what makes it get to the next level are the characters (You deeply care for them) and the directing style (The camera is always on the move and it makes you feel like you´re part of the investigation).

Without comparing it to other movies or shows it reminds you of "The silence of the Lambs" or "Se7en" but with an unique style (Specially when it portrays the Gipsy world and all the flamenco music).

Addicted to "The Gipsy Bride"... Let´s hope the bring it back on a second season.

Surprisingly Good!

At first I had low expectations since it's been a while since I've seen a good Nic Cage movie but then slowly the story started to get me interested. This is the kind of thriller that you gotta finish to find out what really happened and to me the ending was a great twist and don't worry won't make any spoilers.

What makes this movie different from other movies like "Taken" (An obvious reference) is that this one takes it's time to know the characters before the action explodes but once it does it's really, I mean REALLY INTENSE, I think the camera work was superb and I really enjoyed every bit of action of this movie.

Again, don't listen to haters, they love to hate Nic Cage and in this movie he gives a great performance... And again, gotta stay to watch the twist at the end!

Young, bold and touching... A must see!
29 August 2011
The first time that I saw that this movie only had a 5.something in IMDb I thought "maybe is not a good idea" but I gave it a chance and... WOW! Its funny (Sometimes dark, violently funny)thrilling, its been long, maybe since "Fargo" that a movie amazed me this much, the mix of genres is outstanding, it starts with comedy, shifts to thriller and finally to a drama.

The characters are so funny and fragile (Even though sometimes they do terrible things) but thats one of the things that I liked the most, the movie is challenging, you never know where the director is gonna take you and is always surprising. The actors are great, specially Vicente Romero and Angela Molina, they steal the movie.

By the way the ending is one of the best endings I've ever seen, so moving... A great film about bad guys with a huge heart, a must see!
