Gossip Girl (2007)
Gossip Girl Proves Itself Worthy of The Books
I think that the Gossip Girl show is well done--the actors who play every character hit them all dead on. Leighton Meester is perfect for Blair, Blake Lively really shows likeness to Serena, Penn Bagdley (Did I spell that right?) is a good Dan Humphrey, is maybe just a little too cute for playing his role...? Some parts, I admit, are a little bad, though I really love how boldly they explain Chuck. On the season finale, it's brilliantly done. XD I think the music they picked for the show is good, the acting is sometimes unbelievable, but only from some at certain points, and they don't follow the complex plot line, though they do keep the basics. I think some parts, like when Rufus has a father son talk with Dan, it gets kind of ridiculous, because if you've read the books, you know Rufus is not ANYTHING like that. The actor who plays Rufus is a good actor, but poorly cast. In the books, Rufus is some overweight, beatnik loving poet who does not ever even MEET Serena's mom. But overall, I like the show, and plan on buying the first season!
Love Actually (2003)
Love for Love Actually
Let's just say this--I love this movie to bits, but I refuse to allow myself to buy it because if I did I'd spend every waking moment watching it over and over again. Great writing, great plot, great acting, and just an overall perfectly made film.
They want me to stay more lines because otherwise they won't accept it, but really, I don't know what more I can say but that this movie made my night. Colin Firth, Hugh Grant, Emma Thompson, Alan Rickman...every actor in it (Keira Knightley) completely glowed. They want another two lines. Ugh, really, I hate this....um, I loved it, you should watch it, they jokes actually made me laugh, and I loved it.....? :D Is that enough now?
Carolina Moon (2007)
Carolina Moon dubbed most terrible movie
I watched this movie for the hot guy--and even he sucked! He was the worst one--well, okay, I have to give props to that freaky police officer rapist guy too, he was even worse. The guy wasn't that cute in the end, he had the most terrible accent, and he was the most definite definition of hicksville idiot that can't stand up to his mom for the one he "loves" there's ever been. Overall, and if this makes any sense to you, when I go to pick up movies at the video store, I think to myself as I read the back of a movie that looks so/so, "Well, at least it can't be worse than Carolina Moon." The most terrible movie, and the most terrible writing, acting, plot--everything in it made my gag reflexes want to do back flips. It was THE most horrid movie I will ever see, with Gabriela way up there too. I hated it, and trust me, if there was any number under 1 IMDb had for rating, I'd choose that in a heartbeat.
