Just about average.......maybe a bit above average, maybe.

Well, you can't expect much from a director whose forte is blowing up second hand vehicles, and you can't expect SRK to lose the opportunity of earning 100 crore+ with a nonsense movie when everyone from Salman Khan to Ajay Devgan is running blindly after the money. But to my amusement SRK has proved himself to be a lot more entertaining than his "blockbuster" contemporaries.

The concept of north-meets-south has enormous opportunities to create humor given the language difference and to an extent this movie fares well in that department. SRK Plays the role of a 40 year old(virgin!) who incidentally gets entangled in a strange situation and travels to Deepika's village with her. All the south-Indian actors are up to the mark and Deepika is as charming as ever, and SRK...for better or for worse people liked him in Jab Tak Hai Jaan and I'm sure they will love him in this movie too. The soundtrack is okay, the shooting locations are scenic. Story and dialogs are second-grade...but maybe thats what makes a movie super-hit in our country these days.

Overall, an okay movie which you can watch with your family and have a couple of laughs.

Agneepath (2012)
8/10
Thats what Bollywood is about....melodrama which tries its best to amuse you
26 January 2012
"Agneepath!!!! Agneepath!!!! Agneepath!!!!" When Hrithik shouts this in the end the audience is left awestruck with a burst of emotions.

Comparing this to the original will be unjustified as both the movies have their own appeal....but certainly the Hrithik version can give you full value for your money if you are a fan of Bollywood/Hrithik.

With each movie he does, Hrithik evolves as a better actor and he has a huge fan base which can be seen by the enthusiasm of fans in movie screens throughout the country.

Both Sanjay Dutt and Rishi Kapoor did a marvelous job of portraying the bad(read evil) guys. And Sanjay Dutt surely surpasses the over hyped Voldemort through his exceptional acting and dialogue delivery. Priyanka Chopra as Kali was really impressive and sometimes very funny also.

The story-line is nothing very new, the evil villain kills father and then the son avenges his death, but no matter how many times this plot is used you cannot get bored if the movie is as well made as Agneepath.

As it is produced by Karan Johar, there is no shortage of emotions and colorful cinematography in the movie, and this time the action sequences are also very impressive.

The music was good and the background score was fantastic and in tone with the plot of the movie. There is something with revenge that keeps the average Indian mindset always interested and the makers of Agneepath have done a commendable job to provide what the audience wants to see.

Although there might be too much violence for those who don't like action flicks. I don't have any problem in watching violence or melodrama so obviously the movie rocks for me.

Watch this only if you can bear some violence and revengeful emotions.

PS : As everyone knows, Katerina Kaif appears in the song Chikni Chameli and believe me....this girl keeps looking more and more adorable and desirable...the perfect combination of HOT and SWEET

Fast Five (2011)
8/10
Arguably the best in the "Fast and Furious" series so far.
11 May 2011
Firstly, this movie has proved yet again that the fast and furious series is incomplete without the ever so powerful appearance of Vin Diesel. It was a treat to watch two raging bulls Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson in a single movie, can't say who looked dominating because both have such awesome physiques. Paul Walker in the role of Brian'O'Conner was as always up to the mark though his chemistry with Jordana Brewster was not so good this time. There was also no apparent reason to cast Tego Calderon and Don Omar as they did not make the movie better at all. Although I was glad to witness the return of Sung Kang and the stunningly gorgeous Gal Gadot both of whom did utmost justice with their roles. Tyrese Gibson and Ludicrous also did a good job and Rio, Brazil, the location in which the story is set gave tremendous opportunities for great action and car chase sequences with which the Director did a great job, the cinematography was too good and the background score was also nice. The two main advantages this movie had over its predecessors were:

1) The presence of Vin Diesel with Dwayne Johnson and the impact it had on the audience.

2) Totally awe-striking action sequences, they getting so much better with every sequel, both visually as well as conceptually.

Overall, a great experience irrespective of whether you are a fan or not.

Now waiting eagerly to hear news about the next part!!!
