Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004)
Good Movie Good Book, but the game is a WHOLE nother ball park
Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban The Game Review Harry Potter Is a much loved movie and book series, as I am a fan of both, but the games just fail to impress me. Though order of the phoenix game is one I'm interested in due to its graphics and game play. But the last four, well to me they sucked. Azkaban how ever, was different. First story time. I got the game for the xbox and I liked it at first, the graphics were amazing! But the game mechanics were pretty much crap. Oh the voice acting was terrible, for those that remember dragon's lair and it's voice acting, imagine it in times where GOOD voice acting is not that hard to find. It sounds like people with no voice experience did it after new years in a hang over. The plot is the same as book and movie. The difficulty is really a pity, If you've played harder games like me, this will seem like guitar hero on easy in practice mode on the SLOWEST speed, for those that can't picture that, imagine a line to the ladies room. The only thing to me that was GOOD and stood out was the ability to ride a hippogriff. In short another half assed game based on a good movie, which was based on a kick ass book. Book and movie good. Game HORRIBLE! If you bought it used, and after beating it in 1 day, you'll see why you only paid $5 for it. The game scores a 2 out of 5. Don't even rent it, even for a cheap price!
Mr. Woodcock (2007)
Not bad yet not perfect on my scale a 3 out of 5
Mr. Woodcock A Mark Bain review Billy bob thorton, actor, celebrity, abusive gym teacher? Well not in real life but in the film Mr.Woodcock he is! In a nutshell the movie centers around john Farley who writes a book, is accepting numerous awards for it around the country, but his assistant forgets to mention that his home town wants to present him with their highest award a corn cob key or something like that. When he returns to his hometown he does the first thing most people do when returning home, no, not going to a bar with friends, but visit his mom. But there's a surprise in store for him, Mr. Jasper Woodcock, his old gym teacher when he was a kid, is dating his mom. For those that know this cliché, you know what happens, for those that don't let me explain. Woodcock was a HUGE dick, douche, every insult in the book to john Farley, but not just him of course, he was a dick to every kid he taught. Just seemed like he was an extra dick to Farley. But you get the idea. He goes out with Farley's mom, get engaged, and as the cliché goes, Farley tries to break them up. In the end woodcock marries Farley's mom and all is well. For details see the movie! All and all, the movie was decent. It had some humor mostly dirty humor and was probably once or twice close to an R rating. But overall it was decent, but it mainly was built on the old "evil teacher marries my folks" cliché, but then what movie today hasn't been done once or twice before. In short I give it 3 stars out of 5. Good movie, but its been done to much. To the writers of the movie, if your going to make a sequel, consult the reviews, the movie wasn't perfect, and as they say, sequels suck more than the first, but in this case a sequel would be WORSE than the original. If the majority wants a sequel go for it! But if not just don't waste money on one that NO ONE is going to even pay a PENNY to see.
