Walker (2021)
Awful in every way
I can't add much more to what's already been so accurately written, in all the other one star reviews. But to be honest I'm simply and utterly disappointed in this show. I love Jared Padalecki, LOVE him... but he's awful in this show and looks bloody uncomfortable in the role. Also, it's made me realize that not everyone looks good in a cowboy hat, him and his partner look ridiculous, like they dressed up for Halloween. Which is surprising, since I live in Texas, where most people look comfortable and good in one. To be honest, if this version of Walker (and his social justice partner) turned up and told me they were rangers, I'd literally pee myself laughing. Plus, there's the fact that Jared can't ride a horse to save his life and his kids look almost as old as he does. This show is so terrible, that I felt I had to let IMDB users know it just so they don't waste their precious time. Please don't watch this terrible show and allow it to get another season - they shouldn't be allowed to inflict this garbage on the world. I'm embarrassed for Padaleki, and the rest of those involved in this show. Awful, simply awful. Bring back Chuck.
Top Gun: Maverick (2022)
Falling in love with Tom Cruise all over again....
Wow... just wow. Blown away by this movie and the legend that is Tom Cruise. Pitch perfect movie from start to finish and mind-blowing action that leaves you breathless. Tom... you did it again, you took my breath away.
Unplanned (2019)
Don't listen to pro-choice liberal media critics this film is brilliant
If your viewpoint on abortion is the one that has been spoon fed to you through society, modern media and politicians. Then you need to see this movie. If you know little (or nothing) about the actual procedures involved in abortion (yes it's real, I've seen it for
myself). Then you need to see this movie. If you believe that babies are a clump of cells and don't feel pain or distress. Then you need to see this movie. If you are pro-women and care about their physical and mental health. Then you need to see this movie. This movie is not propaganda, because it is the truth and it is going to change minds and save lives, one heartbeat at a time.
Dead Men (2018)
Great independent western with a lot of heart
At the end of the day, this is an independent film, not a big budget star fest. So I don't know what all the harsh criticism is about, but I reckon the one star reviews are from disgruntled crew members, or actors who got rejected, because their comments are utterly unfair, somewhat bitter and quite frankly don't have a lot of substance. I mean who gives a monkeys about whether the guns are 100% authentically period or not, umm... no one gives two hoots about that and most westerns like the recent (highly enjoyable) Magnificent Seven are not remotely authentic! All you need to know is that the acting is solid, the story is gripping and the cinematography is awesome for a low budget, that's what matters. Trust me, I've seen (and been involved in) my fair share of low budget rubbish movies and this one does not deserve to be brandished with that iron. Sure it has its flaws, and without giving away any spoilers, there are some editing issues and a few elements that can be confusing, but no more than many big budget movies I could name (Troy anyone). Look at the end of the day you decide, but don't let what these haters say stop you from watching this action packed western, and if you're a fan of this genre like me, then I'm sure you'll at least love the locations, horses and fight scenes... plus there's an epic stunt at the end which I have never seen performed before and it left me breathless. I just wish I'd been on set to watch it for real, because it was performed by the actors themselves and not an expensive team of stunt men. I for one hope that there's a sequel and I give it a well deserved 10 star for effort, because to make a low budget western of this magnitude takes guts.
