Andhadhun (2018)
Thrill, humor, emotions, passion...this one got it all
Watched this movie with zero expectations as I hadn't even seen the trailer, but little did I know I was up for a surprise ride.
The performances, the plot, the direction, the twists, the thrills...everything about this movie is simply impeccable.
This is one of those movies which will remain with you for days and weeks after watching.
Badla (2019)
Gripping thriller until weak climax
Undountedly one of the good suspense movie in Bollywood. The performances were on point, especially Taapsee Pannu was terrific. Amitabh Bachchan as played his character with different shades very well. Amrita Singh did justice to her role.
The plot was nice and gripping with multiple twists and turns, but the ending could have been better. The way the characters are revealed in the climax sequence is bit disappointing and unrealistic.
All in all a great watch.
Agent Vinod (2012)
not bad at all, good in fact!
I don't understand why everyone seems to be criticizing this movie of being lengthy and boring!! well on a personal note, i absolutely loved it!
It was more like an Indian (Desi) version of the Bourne series or even the James Bond! As far as acting is concerned, i believe the young nawab (Saif) has done a wonderful job and so has all the other characters. I see that lots of people are hating it due to the Pakistan (ISI) connection, which i do understand was indeed exaggerated. Also due to this the movie was banned in Pakistan. However, talking from a strict entertainer perspective, this is a complete package of everything. You get action, adventure, thrill, humor, and nonetheless Saif's and Kareena's light hearted love and hate relationship.
I've rated the movie 9/10. Although i just wanted to give it 7, but since i wanna appreciate such cinema and want the Indian film industry to carry on with such experiments i added 2 more points.
New York (2009)
Mind Blowing!!! thats all...
To be honest i wasn't expecting much from this movie as i am not a Yashraj fan but now when i've watched it, all i can say is i am blown by the originality & deep meaning!
The script is very strong with competing performance specially by John Abraham! he has done it.. n i am glad, he proved that he can really act & much better than many of the overrated stars in the industry. next strength of the movie is of course the man 'Irfan Khan', he has done a tremendous job. Neil is pretty gud as well... i wud say still learning n getting better. Katrina is as usual hopeless & casted just to look good!
overall the movie is indeed worth watching..... A very different stuff from usual bollywood stuff!
Madagascar (2005)
why so underrated!
I am surprised by seeing the current ratings of this movie. i should say it is really among the most underrated movies existing on IMDb. The movie is a fun watch. its a treat for all ages, whether children of Adults. in fact, this movie deserves to be among the best animated movies. well i do agree that at some point the script or the plot wasn't very strong but none the less, the movie for directed and taken in a perfect manner. I loved all the characters in the movie and specially the "move it move it" sound track got me bursted out laughing.
its a must watch.
Khuda Kay Liye (2007)
well it did make sense initially but later.. all BULLSHIT
while i was watching this movie, in the start sequences i never realized that the movie was going to lead up to such an insensible and false stuff. cant believe it, Muslim's themselves r creating fun about them, and also delivering a false message about Islam.
i am not here for any arguments and neither do i give a damn about whatever people r gonna comment on my opinion but i would just like to make one thing very clear to other and non- Muslims that, in no way does Islam permits a Muslim girl to get married outside her religion. thought it differs for men (as they are allowed to marry Christians and Jews). their r many genuine hadith's on this issue and specially the one which Mr. Naseeruddin Shah presented in the movie (regarding Muslim girl marrying outside her religion) didn't make sense at all on this matter as it did only clear out that a girl should be asked and her permission should be seeked before deciding her marriage. and yeah, as about the music issue in which he said that music is allowed because "Daud, Alaihis salaam"(David) was gifted with a beautiful and sweetest voice by Allah and when he sang all the birds and mountain started to praise the Almighty along with him. well i agree with him, but the point here is that "David" was gifted with a sweet voice, not MUSIC! of course Islam doesn't prohibit singing for men, like nasheed etc. but the thing Islam prohibits is Music.
as i also did say earlier that i am not here to rate this movie on a commercial basis, but the message what this movie was trying to pass was intolerable . though up to a certain limit i also do agree what was shown in the first half regarding the hypocrite mullah's and tableeghi's but this doesn't prove that the opposite of this is right!
anyhow, i hope people don't take my opinion in any wrong way instead of thinking over it and preventing themselves in falling into evil.
and just for a matter of point, i don't think that Mr. Naseeruddin Shah deserves any religious appreciation or does he suits to talk on any thing related to Islam or specially marriage, as he himself has a non-Muslim(Hindu) wife, which is prohibited according to Islamic Shariah.
