This doc is a flawed yet perfect encapsulation of America, offering a raw and authentic look at the diverse tapestry of its people and landscapes. The characters encountered along the journey are real, weird, and educational, each contributing to the rich mosaic of stories that unfold. It feels like a blend of the heartfelt nomadic spirit of "Nomadland" and the spontaneous, comedic energy of "Billy on the Street." A true lucky find this was for me one night at home.
Bob the Drag Queen was profound and truly shone as a star, bringing a magnetic presence and depth to the narrative. Malcolm brought wisdom and insight, offering thoughtful reflections that added layers of meaning to the trip. Connor Malbeuf, despite not knowing his comedy, brought a wild and unpredictable nature to the journey, held his own admirably, providing honest and relatable moments that grounded the experience. I believed he cared - which is half the battle in these doc-follows.
While it may not have the polish of a big-budget film, its charm lies in its honesty, realism, humor, and sincerity. The imperfections only add to its authenticity, making it a genuine portrayal of the American experience. The humor is both sharp and heartfelt, with moments that will make you laugh out loud and others that will touch your soul. I would have loved a stronger ending, but that is my only note.
I loved every minute of it. This production is a testament to the beauty of real, unfiltered storytelling, capturing the essence of America in all its complexity and wonder. It's an honest and endearing journey that invites viewers to see the country through a fresh and unvarnished lens.

Miami reppin!! This documentary is a perfect blend of realism and beauty, capturing the essence of its subjects with an unflinching yet tender lens. It is unapologetically queer, embracing and celebrating the diversity and authenticity of its characters. Jazzmun, with their compelling presence and captivating story, was my absolute favorite, bringing depth and nuance to every scene they were in. Athena was sheer perfection, exuding fierceness and grace that left a lasting impression.
The documentary not only highlights the unique journeys and experiences of these individuals but also weaves a rich tapestry of their lives, struggles, and triumphs. The cinematography is breathtaking, with each frame meticulously crafted to enhance the narrative and evoke powerful emotions. The raw honesty and vulnerability displayed by the participants create a deep connection with the audience, making their stories resonate on a profound level.
This documentary is not just a one-time viewing experience; it has the potential to become a recurring series. There are countless more stories to be told, more voices to be heard, and more beauty to be captured. A recurring series would allow for a deeper exploration of these themes, providing a platform for continuous celebration and examination of queer identities and experiences. We need this series to continue, to keep shining a light on these extraordinary lives and to keep inspiring and educating viewers with its powerful storytelling.

The writing is sharp and witty, the performances are top-notch, and the production design is a visual feast that brings this quirky city to life in vibrant detail.
We absolutely need another season to dive deeper into its wonderfully peculiar world. There's so much more to explore, so many more stories to tell, and countless quirky characters to meet. Another season would allow us to continue this whimsical journey, uncovering new layers of the city's eccentricities and falling even more in love with its delightful oddness.
