It Ain't Over (2022)
A 10 perfect rating, from a Red Sox fan
I wish I could've seen Yogi play, but I was born too late. I did get to see him manage the Mets and take them to the 1973 Series, and then the Yankees after that. But I would love to be able to judge for myself, who was the better catcher, Yogi or Johnny Bench. Bench was the best all around player I got to see in my lifetime, even though I did see a few games with Hank Aaron and Willie Mays. Bench controlled the game like no one I had ever seen. But after seeing this documentary, it sounds like Yogi could control a game in a similar way. The scenes from the 1956 Don Larson perfect game were amazing. They brought tears to my eyes. If you love baseball, watch this movie.
Jurassic World Dominion (2022)
A Good Ending for Jurassic World
I just read about 30 awful reviews. What were people expecting, Godfather II and instead you got Godfather III? Jurassic Park and World were never anything more than 2+ hours of mostly action and entertainment. They never had great stories and dialogue. The characters always do stupid things, and the dinosaurs always perform incredible acrobatics to catch up to the people doing dumb things. How could you have seen the first five movies and not known what to expect? This one wrapped up the whole series about at neatly as they could. Tons of action, tons of close calls, the one character you'd like to see get eaten might have been eaten. If you're in the mood for a Palme d'Or winner, don't see this. If you just want some dino action, this is pretty good.
