Attack of the Lederhosen Zombies (2016)
So-so attempt at a Zom-Com
First of all, the cinematography is beautiful, what an epic location to film a movie. Too bad the plot holes are large enough to drive a snowmobile through. I appreciate the attempt at yet another zombie- comedy, but you cannot sacrifice consistency for humor. How or why certain characters do certain actions becomes a fruitless task since that trait is throughout the movie.
Example - Hey, we made it to the bottom of the mountain to get police help, but wait, let's go back up the mountain to play Austrian dance music to slow the zombies down. And when we get there, let's dance in the middle of them as well. Really? And since when did 2 ski poles through the eyes and out the back of the head not kill a zombie?
Knock Knock (2015)
A truly horrific movie that could actually happen.
Contains spoilers:
I say this could happen because most people are afraid of confrontation, and do not defend themselves. As a father of 2 with a good life, the main character has found himself in an unwinnable situation, and is at a complete loss to do the right thing (call the cops or get physically violent well before he did). Have you ever yelled at someone in public? In my experience most people freeze up, and do not react.
I wish we knew WHY the girls showed up, that is the only flaw I see in terms of reality - I know I sure don't get 2 totally hot ladies knock knocking on my door when the family is out of town! Otherwise this is one of the scariest films I have seen in the last 5 years. Forget about ghosts and serial killers, this situation could happen. What a hellish life the main character will have, and the family as well. Do not open your door at night!
The Final (2010)
Spoilers of the worst movie ever
Ummm, hello IMDb land, am I the only person to notice that 2 of the nerds were killed by the Vietnam vet, and then appear in the next scene? And one even makes it back to school without being arrested? Am I wrong? It was the worst consistency issue I have seen since a Todd Sheets flick. Am I really the only one who saw this flaw?
Otherwise it was a good film up until that, I do not know how it got out of post-production with that in it. The acting was good on the part of the nerds, the jocks and pretty girls was paper thin. I just hate to see a nice budget wasted on a horrible inconsistency. One of the worst of the Horrorfest after dark films.
