Sweet Home Alabama (2002)
Enjoyable
Josh Lucas makes this movie bearable. One flash of his killer smile and those eyes and it didn't much matter about the rest of the movie. Reese was cute, she suits these kind of roles well. Patrick Dempsey still feels like a has-been, all I can think about when I see him is "Can't Buy Me Love". Now back to Josh Lucas...
I couldnt place him, I knew I have seen him in roles before. I had to search the DB for him. He did a great job. He was tortured and in love and too proud to admit it. I believed it, but it could have been I was still captivated by that smile and those eyes.
Movie aside, I really like it, it was a predictable typical romantic comedy but still moderately funny and enjoyable.
Did I mention Josh Lucas has the best smile in Hollywood????
My Big Fat Greek Wedding (2002)
delightful
What a delightfully entertaining movie. I thoroughly enjoyed this film. Being that I married someone of European dissent, I could totally relate to many of the situations the lead finds herself facing. But the great part is even if you couldn't relate on a personal level, it was still hilarious! Not just a chick flick!
Love & Sex (2000)
delightfully entertaining
Turned this on as a "well nothing else is on right now" idea, and was pleasantly surprised. I missed the first 10 minutes but watched until the end. I thought this was a nice movie, with quality acting and lots of good humor. Its minus was it was a familiar plot but the acting I thought set it apart. I like Jon and Famke together, they have nice chemistry (they also appear in "Made" together). I liked that it hit on topics/issues very close to my current relationship so I could relate better to the characters. I recommended it to my friends the next day. Its a good rental/cable option.
