Bad taste (may contain spoilers)
20 March 2006
I normally give movies more then a one but this movie really upset me. I like horror movies and even gore does not bother me. The movie was good up until the rape scene. I thought that was just over the line. That scene just ruined the entire movie for me, it was the only scene that kept playing in my head. It really bothered me, and still does. Also, the end was very predictable. I did not see the original so I have no idea if that one ends the same way. I just wish a good horror movie with an actual GOOD plot would come out. Directors just seem to be in a slump with these cheesy horror flicks, The Grudge, The Ring, and now The Hills Have Eyes. I would not recommend this movie to ANYONE. I think it is tasteless and one of the worst movies I have seen in a long time.

Wonderful Family Movie
27 December 2004
This movie was fantastic! Such a beautiful performance by, surprise surprise, Johnny Depp. He is such an amazing actor, and each time I see one of his films, I still am amazed at his efficiency. I actually saw this film twice in theaters. I cried both times, and I know I will purchase it when it comes out. You will also fall in love with the children in this film...wonderful acting by the boys, and even though I am not a huge Kate fan, she was terrific as well. The amazing Julie Christie of course, was another plus on this film. No one does it better then her. Good for the entire family! I recommend it for all ages!

This film was a huge let down
4 September 2004
Warning: Spoilers
I went and saw this movie with a friend of mine sometime last week. And let me tell you, it was horrible. BAD cinematography, horrible editing. I was so p***ed off that I got hyped up about this movie. It was a huge let down to me. If you pay close attention, during the film they would be playing music, and then it would cut off/or skip when they went to another scene. I have no idea who edited this film, but they had to be amateurs. Also, the acting! Where did they get these people? The ending was the worst part. I mean, she just let herself go? I really think they could have don't so much more to make this film a little better. Sorry to those people who enjoyed the film, this is strictly my opinion.

Gia (1998 TV Movie)

Touching, learning experience
17 December 2003
I saw Gia about 2 years ago after a friend told me about it. I already loved Angelina Jolie, so I thought I'd rent it. So one night I did. After watching, I loved Angelina even more. Damn those lips! But not just that, the story behind this tragic tale of a model was so interesting. After watching the movie, I looked up more about the real Gia Carangi...she was a very beautiful model...to be honest Angelina looks nothing like her, but the personality was there. All in all, it was a good movie and it really touches you.

Good until the end
14 May 2003
I really enjoyed this movie. It was hilarious, and very familiar at some degree. Everything in the movie went well until the end. I honeslty wish it would have turned out a little differnet then it did, but otherwise, it was funny, and very touching.

AWESOME
14 May 2003
I bought this movie online, without seeing it. I really couldn't wait, so I rented it from the video store. I hoped I would like it because...well I already did own it...just didn't get it yet. I watched it and saw the amazing acting it had. Piper Perabo!!! One of the greatest actresses of this century. Not to mention Jessica Pare and Mischa Barton. All very talented and believable. I really got sucked into the movie..cried when they cried, and laughed when they did. It was spectacular and has to be on my top 10 movie list. Great movie for the open minded and for anyone who ever went through that in their life..in love with someone, so deep, but afraid to tell your parents for they would not accept it. Life lessons are learned in this movie. Don't be ashamed to love. Be ashamed not to.

Better than double fudge!!!
14 May 2003
Steamy...hott...yum. Those are three words for this movie. Just watching this IS INDEED Better than chocolate. Here we're dealing with a 19 year old lesbian, Maggie, who has come out to the rest of the world..except her mother. Hours before her mother moves in with her because of a brutal divorce, she meets the woman of her dreams, Kim. Every time the two are makin love, theyre interrupted...finally..when Maggies brother spies on the two, he knocks something over as hes backing away. Kim hears and stops, but Maggie just says "NEVER MIND" and they finish what they started. Funny, outrageous, and steamy. The paint scene has to be one of the best scenes in the film. Will Kim and Maggie make it work? Or is there nothing better than chocolate?

Now and Then (1995)
A great film with great actors
19 June 2002
Great movie about four young teenagers out for an adventure to find out how a certain boy died. Goes through many moments of sadness and very emotional at times. This goes to show not every town is as perfect as you may think. These times were hard, and it shows the girls helping each other through parents divorce, and deaths. I give it 5 out of 5 stars.
