12th Fail (2023)
A movie students from every country should watch
A true story made in the purest form. The filmmaker has kept the content raw and realistic. This is real India. An India which dreams, works hard day and night towards its goal. A life where aspirations are bigger than just making money. This movie values human emotions, true friendship and honest love beautifully.
I wish this movie was made when I was studying. I would have watched it again and again to encourage myself to study more.
Special mentions to the character artists in the movie too. They all played their small roles so well.
Vikrant Massey is a consistent actor and he equally proves himself in this movie as well.
Priyanshu Chatterjee plays the catalyst in the story.
Last but not the least the storytelling of the movie is excellent and keeps us engaged. To portray human emotions there are tons of hugs.
A must watch.
Animal (2023)
I was a Ranbir Kapoor fan, not anymore.
I am surprised why an actor who did timeless classics like Wake up Sid, Rocket Singh, Tamasha, Barfi kind of movies did a senseless movie like animal. Amir Khan is right about the violence part. I like action movies too but in this movie it's over the top.
There are a lot of fathers in this country who are always busy with the work. It doesn't justify the reckless behavior of the son. Thankfully mothers shape their sons well and create responsible human beings.
Last but not the least they have portrayed women as helpless, pawns in the society of men. This is not progressive cinema it's a piece of entertainment which spreads negativity.
If you like watching senseless violence, and if your definition of masculinity is a guy with a gun then go and watch this movie.
