Five Nights at Freddy's (2023)
A Genuine Disappointment
I was quite pumped to see this! I haven't played the game but I was aware of it. However the trailer for this movie certainly looked like something I would be into! I toughed it out for slightly over an hour and had to turn it off! I was beyond bored to be really honest. It was a whole lot of repetitive, snooze fest scenes! I was expecting much more given the great cast list I am a fan of Josh, Elizabeth and Matthew. But I was very unimpressed by the movie overall. I was intrigued still with 1/2 questions which I asked someone that had watched it all for! And when they answered my questions I can truthfully say I'm glad I didn't bother to finish it! Complete waste of time.
Cocaine Bear (2023)
Solid Comedy Movie
Having being a massive Ray Liotta fan since I was a child it made perfect sense to me to see this movie! Especially with it being one of his final films! Let me tell you how much I enjoyed this movie! It was pure comedy throughout for me! So many notable scenes. My personal favourite is the whole ambulance scene! (I won't spoil it!) but my sides hurt from laughing so much. Of course it's over the top and completely outrageous! But that's what makes it so fun! If you go into this expecting anything in particular I'd say you are setting yourself
Up for disappointment! But if you watch it with an open mind and just enjoy the moment I reckon you'd enjoy it very much!
The Shallows (2016)
Tense Performance
I'm a huge fan of shark movies! But honestly it's so difficult to find one I actually enjoy! But this was one of them! The cinematography is simply stunning. The shark is actually one of the more ' real ' looking ones in comparison to other movies! That little bird on the rock was making me rage! I kept thinking go away you little *bleep* you will get her killed! Hahaha. The movie really has a solid mix of thrills and tension! Blake Lively did a really great job in this role. I particularly love movies like this one because it really could happen to any of us! I'm a big fan of movies that could become anyone's reality! And It's personally a big fear of mine being anywhere near a shark never mind being hunted by one! I find them fascinating creatures but the closest I would want to be is the tv screen! So thanks to all involved in the making of this movie for putting out a quality shark film!
T.I.M. (2023)
Tense Thriller
I was undecided on whether to watch this movie but I'm honestly glad I did! I find it has some very tense moments and Eamon Farren does an exquisite job in his role of Tim. From the deadpan facial expressions, the robotic walking and right down to the flat voice he really nailed it. I'd be absolutely interested to view his other work! It's also my first time seeing Mark Rowley in a movie! The movie gave me the creeps a little because something like this could actually happen! Or maybe I'm just being paranoid haha. I've given it a 7 rating mainly because some parts were a little predictable but other than that I would say it's a very thrilling performance.
