Like Father (2018)
How this movie makes you feel
Slow, bored, watch at double speed, predictable, WHAT??
I don't think so.
The pacing was slow because this relationship mending process doesn't happen over night, or does it get fixed with one good hangover.
You want action comedy, wam bam thank you mam without the emotions that they are working through. I think it might appear cliche, but relationships are not.
This movie made me cry, as I am that father. This movie hit so close to home that i know it will be a turning point in my life. It is easy to produce an action, car chase, gun shots from everywhere, science fiction escape that is void of heart, love, longing, remorse, trust, fear, and a dozen more emotions.
The fear that we face in our lives is not that bad guys are trying to kill us, and chase us down and bury us in a ditch.
The fear is to be alone, without love, friends, a home, food, a job, a family; but as we grow all these dynamics change. When once a small barbecue was easy, and everybodt was there to chip in, then later we don't even want to go through the actions.
We can hide in our work or run away to that place where we can feel our ;life, as it is.
I will recommend this movie, and pray that any of the hurtful things that happen in this flick will never happen to any one ever again.
Open your souls eye to what this movie is trying to share. You will cry if you have a heart.
The Ranch (2016)
Thoughts about The Ranch
Just spent several hours on a binge watch of all previous episodes.
The term reality keeps pushing at me. The situations and the dialog, are just down right spot on. They talk like real people do. It isn't candy coated or fake. The comedy takes you by surprise at times and it had me laughing like I haven't done since seeing "Ted 2".
I was raised on a cattle ranch (somewhat smaller in size) and we lived through all of the farming issues that are encountered in this "reality" series sitcom, and then some. I just want to thank Netflix for creating this show.
This series deals with all the typical issues of running a 1500 acre farm, and all the interpersonal relationships that would come out of the multi faceted dynamics of real life situations.
Jay Leno's Garage (2006)
Wonderful Series
Jay, After many years of watching you in your past endeavors the present Garage series is by far the most interesting and informative "Car" show that I have ever seen. I have watched them all; with the exception of "Overhauling" (with Chip Foose which I personally find very entertaining because of how Chip participates at all levels of the overhaul) and most of the "car" shows have become a poor boys challenge of using someones $80,000 to fix up their car and give it body work and a new paint job.
It truly appears that you are happy in this new series. The way that you interact and share your interest with the participants and the viewers has led me to write this little review to share my comments.
I hope you will continue to developer new and different episodes that explore and investigate the marvels, history, and the future of the automobile and how it has been a part of our lives.
The first car that I remember my dad had as our family car was a 1955 Buick Roadmaster. Every-time I see that vehicle on your show or commercials it brings back special memories from my childhood and how that car was almost like a family member. My dad was an auto body repairman. I have seen him work on so many cars over my life. I am positive that he would have truly enjoyed your new program. If I could have set with him to share one of your shows he would have added a wealth of additional history to the discussion and I would have gained a new perspective of the history of how all the cars that he owned — (from his first Model A that he had before going off to serve in WW2 to his last car, a 1967 Buick Electra 225) — And my first car that I bought when joining the Air Force was a 1973 Buick Riviera.
Great show keep sharing the history of cars with us. I will never miss an episode, Thank God for my DVR.
