NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service: Dead Air (2010)
Entertaining but problemtatic
If McGee and Ziva actually turned off the radio, leaving DiNozzo without back-up during an undercover op, as they insinuated they did. They would be in a world of trouble.
All too often, things are played for laughs in this series which wouldn't fly in the real world.
Criminal Minds: Blood Relations (2014)
Stereotypical portrayal of WV
Wheeling is an industrial city, not a tiny rural community. And stories like this make it seem like all WV natives are uneducated hicks.
Anne of Green Gables (2016)
Good, but not great
The characterizations seemed a little forced. I thought the boy playing Gilbert was mis-cast. He was too young. The locations were lovely. This was good, but not great. But I thought it was still a sweet story. Not on par with the CBC version of the 1980's, but better than that dreadful "Anne with an E".
Anne of Green Gables: The Continuing Story (2000)
Who came up with this convoluted mess.
The only 2 scenes I actually like in this weird production are Anne and Gil's wedding reception and when they are reunited at the end of the war. Even those are somewhat ruined. The tent falls on their wedding reception and the preacher was half drunk. And during their reunion that jerk Jack Garrison has to walk up looking all butt-hurt jealous.
This movie does not follow the novels at all. In the books they were married in 1890 and it was their 3 sons who went off to war (one of their sons was killed in the war).
Star Trek: Voyager: Lineage (2001)
May contain spoilers
To the previous reviewer (ShogaNinja) who said this episode was written to conceal Roxanne Dawson's real life pregnancy. You are wrong. She was not pregnant in season 7. In 2 episodes of season 7 (Author, Author and Renaissance Man) you can clearly see that a holographic version of her character is not pregnant.
Dawson was pregnant in season 4. But it wasn't written into the script then. They had her character wear a smock/jacket over her uniform.
I truly liked this episode. Because I felt it dealt with real life issues such as childhood abandonment by a parent and being bullied as a child and how these things affect a person. Both of these things happen to the character as a child. She thinks that she wants to spare her child that. But it's also that she doesn't want to be abandoned again.
