The Simpsons (1989)
One of the most well known animated shows.
If you haven't seen at least one episode of this show, you must be living under a rock because it has been given its credit for being one of the best shows that lives on. It does have that real wow factor that makes it stand out that much more. Every season makes its own point and it adds an extra element that makes it more entertaining and more enjoyable as the days pass by. Obviously, Homer is the main character of the family not only for his infamous "Doh!" And for strangling Bart and saying "Why you little!" when he does something funny or says something funny or stupid but it also means he means a lot as well as the rest of the family who also stand out. Other characters outside the Simpson family that send it to the next level are Ned, Krusty, Apu, Ralph, Nelson, Milhouse and so forth.
The Big Bang Theory (2007)
One of the best sitcoms ever!
It was at first glance that I was totally obsessed with this because it's not only a great show but it also teaches yourself about science and how the universe works. And of course Sheldon, Leonard and Penny always talking most of the time but also having a bit of a hard time but they don't make it too complicated. Jim Parsons has made a good point about how he planned for it to pan out but he did at least make a sitcom with a bit more detail than the others.
And if that doesn't teach you enough, tell them that they're not liars because they're very smart and their brains will make you a better human being than you imagine.
The first seasons were really great and I loved it. My 2nd fave sitcom to Friends.
Friends (1994)
Masterpiece!
It's one of the most iconic sitcoms and I know there's a lot of people who either love it or hate it. This is easily my favourite sitcom by a very long mile. If you haven't watched a single episode or clip from it, then you are missing out big time. It was well known for its distinctive theme which of course contains the Rembrandts hit "I'll Be There For You" and when I hear it, I sing along to it and I pretty much know mainly most of the lyrics off by heart. Pretty much like each of the characters make this really stand out. The particular characters who really shine are Joey, Chandler, Monica and Ross. Rachel and Phoebe aren't too far behind the pack but they do tend to have some interesting moments. Each episode makes its point of view and it makes sense to watch it as it should be. The deleted scenes do make it stand out much more than it does. What really grinds my gear is that there's quite a few of people who have never watched Friends. 38% of the young adults between 15-35 years old never watched this which is a major letdown.
