Wish I Had Never Watched This Movie
22 May 2024
They don't want me to say this movie is horrible, but in my opinion it is. They don't want me to say this movie is blasphemous, but in my opinion it is. They don't want me to say Sam Miller is one of the worse characters to ever appear in a film, but in my opinion he is (the character NOT the actor).

I'm not sure what they want me to say, since I am forbidden to tell the truth. They may want me to say this is a Christian movie, but I don't think it is. While my opinion may differ from others, I'm not changing my mind about this.

Look! I hated this movie. I would not and do not recommend it to others. But, that's just me.

Karate Kid Meets Michelangelo
6 April 2024
Where do I start? Instead of PAINT THE FENCE, we get PAINT THE PORCH. Instead of WAX THE CAR, we get WALLPAPER THE ROOM. Instead of learning martial arts, the guy learns to paint. This "Karate Kid Meets Michelangelo" just doesn't work.

I found the film to be long and boring. There was nothing new or creative about this movie. While the acting was good, the dialogue was downright stupid at times and is often repetitive. The voiceover talking during much of the movie was irritating.

It would nice if I could tell you this was cinematic masterpiece, but I can't. As stated earlier, I found this to be a long, boring movie. I did not enjoy it and regret watching it. But, that's just me.

Nothing New To See In This Unoriginal Film
29 March 2024
Take the film "Lean On Me", add in a lot of "The Sandlot" and throw in a little "Radio Flyer". You end up with "Rockaway". There was nothing original about the movie.

The soundtrack was horrible. The music just didn't seem to fit.

I think they said "John Starks" more times in this movie than the announcers did in the 1994 NBA Finals. After hearing "John Starks" this and "John Starks" that so many times, it became irritating.

Some scenes seemed to drag on and on, such as the baseball game that I thought would never end.

Overall, this was not a very good movie. I have no deserve to ever watch it again. But, that's just me.

Cinematic Trash
29 February 2024
I made the mistake of trusting the 7.6 rating of this so-called film. I soon found out the number is highly inflated. I don't know why so many viewers love this movie, but I am not one of them.

I don't really find it heartwarming or funny to watch a man with Down Syndrome walk around in his wet underwear while being taught to get drunk, shoot a gun, threaten to kill people, steal, etc. However, based on the 7.6 rating, there are a lot of folks who do find those things entertaining.

Overall, I found the movie slow, boring and offensive. At the moment, I can not think of a single nice thing to say about this cinematic piece of trash. But, that's just me.

Return To Sender
26 January 2024
If you are looking for an action-packed adventure movie for the entire family, go find something else to watch. This is simply the typical Hollywood teenage love story. Everyone knows, if you haven't found true love by the age of 16, life isn't worth living. In all honesty, there were several times during this film that I felt nauseous. Who knew teenage love could be so mushy and gross.

It seemed like most of the cast took a correspondence course in acting and the writers must have gotten their degree by sending in box tops from there favorite morning cereal.

Would I recommend "Address Unknown"? Yes, I would. I would recommend they return to sender. But, that's just me.

Not A Cinematic Masterpiece
25 January 2024
I must confess. There were times when I wondered why I was even watching this movie. I often found myself confused as to what the point of the film was. To be honest, I'm still not entirely sure what the purpose of the movie is.

"Buckley's Chance" is not a cinematic masterpiece. It is boring at times. Some scenes are slow to develop. There are even a few scenes where you may find yourself laughing out loud as you ask what the heck they were thinking when they put that in the movie.

However, it was enjoyable enough to keep my attention and to keep me awake.

You may find it boring. I did at times. You may find it entertaining. I did at times. You may want to watch it a second time in the future. I don't. But, that's just me.

Nothing Special About This Film
16 January 2024
Overall, I found this movie boring. A lot of dialogue about similar things made the conversations in the film seem repetitive. It seems like the makers of the movie threw in violent, bloody scenes from time to time to simply keep the viewer from falling asleep.

Character development was sort of hit and miss. One of the main characters (Bradley) is well developed and they do a very good job of helping the audience get to know him. On the other hand, the other main character (Benson) is never really developed beyond being an irritating psychopath. He is not "mysterious". He's just angry and we never really find out why.

I typically judge a movie based on whether I would like to see it again, and if so, when. A week from now? A month from now? A year from now? I have no interest in ever seeing this film again. But, that's just me.
