Forever Young (2023)
thought provoking
This is a masterful exploration of aging, regret, and the chance for a second go at life, centered around the compelling story of Robyn, a 70-year-old woman who discovers a formula that reverses aging. Pretorius skilfully blends fantasy and reality, crafting a narrative that's as thought-provoking as it is emotionally engaging. The film's technical brilliance shines through in its stunning cinematography and evocative soundtrack, enhancing the story's introspective and whimsical nature. As a 45-year-old viewer, I found the film's handling of themes like life's regrets and the desire for change deeply resonant. Forever Young stands out not just for its entertainment value but for its poignant commentary on life, making it a memorable cinematic experience that speaks to the complexities of aging and the possibilities of life's second chances.

Enjoyed it
Rented this flick and gotta say, it was pretty good. It's packed with solid entertainment and the acting's more than legit. There's this heavy theme around violence and women's abuse, which is intense. The ending nails it, and the action's non-stop. Yeah, the plot gets lost a little towards the end but the film owns its vibe from start to finish. It's way better than most indie movies out there. Keeps you hooked, and the story flows without missing a beat. Plus, filming this during the pandemic? Mad respect. So, bottom line. Just watch it for the fun of it. Trust me, it's a good time and ignore the haters.
