Midnight Sun (2018)
It caught me off guard
After I watched the movie trailer I was thinking that it's going to be a love story where the main character, Katie, is sick and will be supported by Charlie. Of course, she is, but I was not expecting the way the story turned. I don't want to shoot any spoilers, but I was really surprised by the plot. I am not an easy person to be touched by the movie, but I gotta admit that it got me crying. The movie is really charming and emotional. I've read that the story is not as original as it may seemed as there had already been a movie with a story like that before, but I will argue with that. The movie IS original and it will definitely surprise you.
Time Is Up (2021)
Nothing new
I watched this movie because my friend recommended it. I am not sure if I regret watching it. It wasn't terrible- there were some pretty good scenes and moments, but the movie itself is a little boring. You can predict everything that will happen without really using your brain. It is a regular teenager romance movie. I'm not saying that this is a bad thing, but it is just not for me. The movie is directed to young teenagers that experience their first 'love'. The plot was not anything new. I rated it 7/10 just because I watched the second part of the movie- 'Game of Love'- which was much worse.
Puppy Love (2023)
Perfect to chill
I am a little ashamed to admit that I did not recognise Grant Gustin while watching the movie trailer at first. The movie script was written very well. I really enjoyed all the funny/awkward moments. It is not a usual type of a rom com. It is sweet and original. I love the idea of dogs making people get to know each other better. Chloe really deserves an Oscar or something. The way her face just doesn't care when Max is talking to her is so adorable. I am very picky when it comes to comedies or rom coms but I knew from the beginning that this movie is a great choice (That's partly because of Lucy Hale starring but never mind). Anyway, I really enjoyed it.
