Single's Inferno (2021)
Not chaotic
Wow. This show showed me just how numb my brain is to good content. I watched so much trash TV that I became somewhat bored while watching a show were people are being calm and collected and chilled.
Although like every other show only super pretty people are cast (To tell the truth that's what honestly made me want to watch the show). It's honestly a fun watch, I don't really have much to say about it, it's not like it leaves some kind of huge impression on me because there's nothing really to take away from it its just 'now' entertainment.
I'll just appreciate seeing people not being loud and annoying all the time or having to skip some annoying sex scene. I felt comfortable watching this with my younger siblings around.
But let's be honest like 95% of dating shows the participants are most likely just clout chasers/on a self promotion quest, there's no way a someone like Song Jia or Jin Kyung and there rest of them COULD NOT find a good partner. Every single cast member season 1-3 are good-looking and have solid careers or are studying at well known universities, everyone here is a catch.
Ridiculousness (2011)
It Definitely Is Ridiculous
I'll give it 2 stars because atleast I used to laugh at the clips rather than the jokes when I was younger, not knowing anything about quality content. After not watching this show for more than a year I realized how trash it was when I clicked to see it. The jokes really aren't funny some atleast land somewhere but not enough to have me chuckle. I don't really see the point of the show when we have the internet (things like YouTube) or maybe because if something claims to be funny I automatically have high expectations. My sense of humor has evolved from just watching people triping and falling or making dumb mistakes.
Kakegurui (2018)
Stick to the original
Rather stick to the original. There's so much cringe when it comes to the acting. One cannot translate the exaggerated expressions of 2D characters into the real life, it just ends up cringey this series prove it. And also didn't really get that Yumeko energy from the lead(not sayingi was expectingthe animes weird sensual momoents). I honestly expected more considering the fact that this isn't a show about super powers and those sorts of things meaning no need for big budget cgi and things like that. I hope everyone who wants to create an anime live action takes a look at One Piece, one could still see the essence of the character without the actor being super cringe.
The Kardashians (2022)
Keeping up with the Kardashians 2.0
This is Keeping up with Kardashians 2.0. There isn't a real difference between the old KUWTK maybe the only differences could be that they seem to swear more than the previous show and we see a little more of Kylie 'cause she was a rare sight, you'd even see Malika more then her. And I guess we see their cars more...?
I also do not understand why Kourtney is still on the show since she wanted her own personal space/ privacy. She said on KUWTK that she no longer enjoys being on the show but she's still making a constant appearance, more then the Jenners.
You don't really learn anything or gain from the show but I keep watching when I want to turn my brain off and look at pretty cars and the pretty backgrounds.
The God of High School (2020)
Something is missing, but not 100% sure what is..
I've never read the webtoon so I won't be comparing
The animation is definitely amazing, the characters are likeable and the plot was...the plot I guess. The anime started off promising and I thought this was something about a martial arts tournament, turns out there is supernatural stuff which honestly wasn't a Big deal, but than the power scaling. At one point Jin's kick destroyed a large portion of the ring but then when going all out with the Key the ring didn't even have a dent. It didn't really feel like two powerful people were fighting (judging by the surroundings) although the fight was good. The final fight was alright, the soundtrack was cool but didn't give the fight a majestic atmosphere, it just felt like a cool fight.
The anime felt a bit rushed and it lacked something but I can't quite put my finger on it. Overall it was a fun watch as I was looking for something short and not super serious.
Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta (2012)
Being Ratchet is the it thing I guess?
I gave it a 3 because at least at times, when I'm extremely bored, somewhat find it entertaining-ish? There's too much drama and too little actual hip hop. Instead of highlighting the "hip hop" the drama gets more screen time, I guess they do that to get ratings up? But still hip hop is in the title and the has been's and wannabe's are probably on the show to promote their music or is that not so? And the love part of things is just...Most couples romance barely lasts at all and most relationships have no true solid substance to them. And GOSH why does almost everyone especially the woman of EVERY SINGLE Love and Hip hop have to be so ratchet, handling drama like teen girls at times. I won't lie the drama about Cardi B is the reason why I checked the show out but after seeing it long enough feels like that's the only thing it's about.
Darcey & Stacey (2020)
Vanity project
Nothing unique about this show it's just something I would play in the background while I do other things. Honestly I only kinda feel bad for Darcey she really needs to go on some self love journey. I've been watching her from 90 Fiance and honestly she gives a off a little bit of 'desperate' energy always being pushy when it comes to marriage etc. And I do not get why a well established 40+ year old female would be hunting for young foreign guys. Out of the two I kinda like Stacey more compared to her. Although both seem vain, they are pretty but still botch themselves reason being...? Probably 'cause they have the money do so, so its whatever I guess.
One Piece (2023)
Flawed but still well-done
It was not a 100 percent perfect, it had a couple of flaws here and there, the mc felt a bit not fully in tune with his character but he definitely did his best and all the cast members. One thing is that it definitely beat many live actions out there. For example Death Note didn't need any special effects (Ryuk excluded) or any special stunts done but still managed to mess up (lol). I don't get why some actual One piece fans hate it like obviously it won't be a copy and paste of the actual anime, these are real people that can't mimick each and every facial expression and exaggerated thing a 2d character can do. The casts chemistry is also amazing off screen and Oda was said to be involved in its creation which is what encouraged me to watch it and I do not regret.
