Maseukeugeol (2023)
Very interesting show
The show isn't 100% amazing but it was a really fun and interesting watch. I watched the whole show in one sitting and wouldn't have minded if it was longer. I enjoyed it a lot.
The cast for this show is no joke, each actor has shown a different side of acting from their previous works. Even the new actress Lee Han Byeol did a fantastic job. Really hope to see more of her acting.
Nana!!!! Omg every scene of hers had me shocked especially enjoyed the prison scenes whens she lost it with anger. The way the show was laid out over the course of mask girls life was fantastic. I would definitely recommend this show, it's worth the hype.

Just watch
What is there to say the show has Kim taeri as the female lead. I new I was going to like this show and was excited to see how she would take on such role. Although Gong Yoo was to be male lead, Oh Jung-se didn't disappoint. An actor who is usually seated in a supporting role finally take on a more serious leading role. Both actors character balanced each other and created a more enjoyable drama. There is no romance in this show but the chemistry was for sure there.
I recommend this to anyone keeping in mind this is a horror-thriller. The writers infuse psychological horror and Korean folklore and did a really good job. Wouldn't say this is a really scary show but the vivid visuals made this scary and disturbing.

Don't get the hype
I have watched tons of rom coms and this was nothing new. A drama the surrounds the male lead everything from story, to references to the male leads previous works, all the way to the PPL(Product placement). You tell the writer and director obsessed over Lee Junho and most viewers now label this drama "Junho Land". The male/female leads characters are simple, a pretty and level headed working women and an arrogant rich son whom doesn't care for the hotel due to past memories but wants to spend the money...
Personally the male leads character had no development outside of him falling in love. If he didn't he would still be in the same position as the beginning of the show. But since this is a rom-com the love is what is suppose to change him to realized whats important and what changes he wants for the hotel, and to find happiness. This story is simple if they just left it to focus on the relationship between the two leads, but they decided to have subplots on the side that include topic that are serious like sexual harassment and verbal abuse at work. As well as the overly worked mother with demanding and rude in-laws and unsupportive husband. Not to forget the male leads sister who shows no attention to her own son leaving him lonely that could have have caused a spin-off for this show about his life. All of which they wrapped up towards the end of the show without much thought so that the focus can stay on the main leads happy ending.
As for the romance, I felt no chemistry between the two characters, as someone who has watched all works of both actors nothing here was something they haven't showed with other actors/actresses. If you remove all the kiss scenes there is no natural romance/chemistry. The relationship started really fast as they tried to reach a kiss scene by episode 8 (like all the other k-drama rom-coms). I was hoping for something deeper like maybe they were childhood friends since they both have memories in the hotel growing up but thats just me.
When it comes to comedy this drama did well it was funny when it needed to be thanks to the entire supporting cast. Overall I wouldn't watch this show but didn't mind that I did since I usually finish what I start. But my hopes were up o high and I was let down. Defiantly not the best rom-com Kdrama in my opinion.
