Inner Sanctum (1954)
I will never forget...
This was my go-to list as a child back then: The Twilight Zone ==> The Outer Limits ==> One Step Beyond ==> Inner Sanctum. And oh, "Million Dollar Movie".
Just flat out gripping series. Everyone in our house would gather around the TV when Inner Sanctum came on. No one would go to the bathroom.
Tunnelen (2019)
Way too much stupidity in this movie
I normally don't write reviews but this movie forces you to suspend common sense and reality in order for it to work. A 5 mile tunnel in Norway is blocked due to a crash and the subsequent fire imperils everyone in the tunnel. There are NO cameras/video in this 5 mile tunnel. Everything is dependent on phone communications between the people stuck in the tunnel and an emergency dispatcher. OK, on what planet would they not have cameras in 5 mile tunnels going through mountains?? This is Norway, a country living on the edge between glaciers, avalanches, volcanoes and the like. You would expect top of the line emergency response to different scenarios. Not the case in this movie. The idea that they would have to rely on cell phones with victims under a mountain, well, that's too much suspended belief for me. One person basically saves everyone by going against all of his superiors who won't do anything until those other (delayed) emergency units can arrive way too late hours later.
Watch this at your own risk. You'll find yourself saying "WTF, why didn't he/she just ....?" And then a protagonist who was basically dead and beyond help himself somehow survives with a little cajoling from his daughter and they save everyone else.
Okaaay! Enjoy.
