The Wraith (1986)
6 Pack On a Rainy Day**Great Movie.!!!
I don't know how many times i watched this movie when i was younger. Surely one of the most under rated B-Sci fi movies of the 80's. The special effects are decent enough and the story line is VERY good considering the type of movie it is.
The story centers around Packard Walsh (Nick Cassavetes), Keri (Sherilyn Fenn), and Jake (Charlie Sheen). Only problem is. Jake is killed by Packard and his gang of misfits. (always wanted to say that) Thats when he comes back as The Wraith. With his mystical car and revenge on his mind, as well as the love for Keri that Packard wasn't able to take from him. This movie has probably been on the Sci Fi channel, USA, WGN, as well as others more than any other movie of its type. late at night of course.! its one of those that now a days you'll find at 2 or 3 am. But, its still just as fun to watch as it was when i was younger and watched it. Of course this isn't the best sci fi movie made. and it is by far the worst. its just a fun movie to watch with the actors in it that have made more of a name for themselves now than they did then.! of course, just like the other movies i review. grab a 6 pack on a rainy day, and you'll LOVE this movie for sure.!
The Forgotten (2004)
Have at it.. you'll like it.!!
THIS MOVIE IS GREAT.
This is what i'm wanting to see. I saw the previews to this and didn't know what to expect. All I thought I knew what, "I'm sure its not gonna be that great, and be just like every other movie out there" Wow, was I surprised. Things jumping out at you from nowhere!! You don't know whats gonna happen to who, when, and where. You don't know whats really going on. All you know is. There are those out there after them that do know whats going on. You really get a feel for the characters without wasting half of a movie to get the development. There are so many "MISSING PERSON" movies out there that promise or give the feeling that they are truly different from the rest of them. This one stood up and drop kicked everyone of those movies in the face.!! You'll all enjoy the way this movie is presented to you.. plenty of, "HUH's , What's , What the Heck's, and NO WAY's" in here for you to enjoy as well..
Monster Man (2003)
Not bad. I would watch it again even..
the special effects where pretty good and the acting wasn't HORRIBLE. but, yeah, it isn't the best.
i've been sick and i watched it on pay per view. i had a coupon for a free movie and i wanted to see something horror that i haven't seen before. so i guess for a movie i haven't seen yet, it wasn't bad. i chuckled at a few scenes and thought some of the scenes where actually pretty creepy.
does it borrow a lot from other movies.??? YES, very much so!! It wasn't really original at all. but, it was done in a decent way. But, nowadays its hard not to. I think they knew what they where doing. Thats why it wasn't a high budget movie, and wasn't in theaters.!! It borrows from Texas Chainsaw, Joyride, House of 1000, and Drop Dead Fred *you'll see* the whole movie was pretty good.. the ending was a little cheesy.. but, if you're into these types of movies, then it is a very good one to pick up.!
Witchboard (1986)
Die hard fans will love this one.
THIS MOVIE SCARED THE CRAP OUT OF ME WHEN I WAS YOUNG.
Talk about creepy.!! Tawny Kitaen plays Linda Brewster one of the adults that mess around with a ouija board and just so happens to bring back the spirit of a killer. Wouldn't really be a movie unless they did huh.? As, far as 80's horror goes. This is on the top of my list for scaring me to death. The cast did a really good job for the time of the movie, the plot was good, and special effects along with the blood work was really done well too. It really is a fun movie to watch. And, I'm sure this one is still just as scary now for you as it was when it first came out. Get this movie, some popcorn, and your date and turn off all the lights because I think you'll really be surprised with this movie. Personally I don't know why these actors never really took off. but, on a scale of 1-10 I'm comfortable giving this movie an 8. Try it. You die hard horror fans will really enjoy it i think.!!
