Panhandle (2022)
COUNTING FOR A SEASON 2
I really loved this show. I love the mystery, the comedy and the chemistry between the characters. It does a perfect job at balancing comedy, thriller, drama and romance at the same time.
I definitely enjoyed this more than most comedy series out there. The comedy is very well written and doesn't even fail to give atlest a small chuckle while maintaining a good engaging story that keeps you on your toes.
It's definitely such a shame there is no season 2 yet, because this show most definitely should have more than 3 seasons by now because how good it is. Plus, with the way that the first season ended, this show definitely needs a second season.
Shin Gojira (2016)
One of the creepiest Godzilla movies I ever seen
The movie does a good job at perfectly portraying how the government would react in a chaotic situation like this, which btw (as far I've seen) has never been done before. It really does empathizes the tragedy caused by Godzilla to Japan, rather than mainly focusing on Godzilla and his nature of destruction.
The designing of Godzilla is actually brilliant, and when I say by brilliant, I mean as in how it can leave night terrors for any younger audience who sees this movie. It kind of also fits the theme of the story, therefore, you can really feel the shivers in your timbers. All and all, the designing crew really nailed this one, ngl.
One of my biggest problem was the scene of taking down this monstrous Godzilla. It kind of felt underwhelming. The procedure of taking Godzilla down is good, really appreciated the idea on that one, but the execution of taking Godzilla down was pretty poor. Everything at that moment felt rushed, and it really didn't gave that feeling where you curl up your toes because your too anxious that it will fail. But that's the only particular scene that stood out for me.
No doubt, the CGI was good on Godzilla, especially considering on that fact that Japan has less resources to make life-like CGI compared to Hollywood movies. The movements and the physics for Godzilla are well thought through, but the physics around him aren't.
Ong, I may not have good marks on physics exams, but when a huge monster comes and terrorizes my country, I know for a fact that the vehicles mass that are thrown won't be immediately negligible under the effect of gravity. But that's all i have to say.
This movie will be a hit or miss for some people, considering there will be less monster fighting and more details on how an average governments would react in really really bad situations. But personally I enjoyed it alot, minus the CGI of the vehicles, the story is well done imo.
Five Nights at Freddy's (2023)
Really a good fun movie
When I saw that it was rated 5.5 in IMBD, I thought the movie might have been goofy, but I have it a try anyway because why not? I'm glad that I did though because I really enjoyed.
First, I would love to appreciate the atmosphere of the movie. It's not an uneasy atmosphere unlike other horror movies, where you constantly worry about what's going to happen next to the main protagonist, but it was an fun kinda scary atmosphere, where you are still worried on what might happen to the protagonist while having some fun.
Impressive work on the animatronics. I am not sure how they did it yet, since I jumped into the movie not knowing anything how the directors filmed the movie, but I do know that it looks exactly how anyone would picture FNAF in real life. The costume designers did an amazing job on bringing these characters into real life without missing a single detail.
It was a predictable story line. I knew what will happen without knowing what was about to happen, but unlike other movies I have encountered with this similar problem, I still end up watching the whole movie regardless knowing how it will end.
Even though it's titled as horror, it isn't really horror. Sure, there might be a few jumpscares from here and there, but I won't call it scary. This movie is kinda like a fun kinda scary movie, where you watch for fun instead of wanting to watch an actual horror movie.
In conclusions, this movie might be an hit or miss for some people. So, if you want to know whether you love it or not, you need to check it out yourself. I ended up loving it, even though the movie wasn't scary, it was really good and enjoyble imo.
(Excuse if there is any grammertical mistakes, I'm not that good English)
