One True Loves (2023)
We really liked this move
My wife and I enjoyed the movie. We had not read the book. We thought the acting was good, characters were believable, scenery was appealing, story line compelling. In particular the question of how she was going to resolve the issue of which man to choose was handled well. I don't understand the low ratings from other reviewers, but apparently that stems from what they expected from having read the book. We almost didn't watch the movie because of the negative reviews and so glad we decided to watch it anyway. My advice, if you watch the trailer and like it, watch the movie and I think you'll enjoy it.
The Secret: Dare to Dream (2020)
Delightful story
We loved this movie. Great story. Great acting by all. Uplifting, positive message. Nice scenery. Josh Lucas was the perfect guy for the part he played. Katie Holmes was good as well and the kids were good. No sex, nudity or foul language. Hard to find a movie without that stuff these days. It's not a religious story per se but does have a strong message about the power of positive thinking. When life throws you lemons, make lemonade. We've watched this movie several times. If you're looking for a lot of action, guns, violence, sex, swearing, CGI (computer generated-imagery), then this is not the movie for you.
Remember Yesterday (2022)
Very slow. Boring dialogue.
Watched this because of the reviews. Very slow and boring. Too many bar scenes with boring dialogue. Nothing compelling in this. Annoying characters. Made it half way and couldn't take any more. Fast forwarded. We paid $4.99 to watch this on Amazon Prime. That was a mistake. I assume most of the high reviews came from people who have some connection to the making of the movie. Save yourself some wasted time and find a different movie. The acting was just average. The movie seemed very low budget. The best scene was in the movie trailer. It's all down hill from there. My wife couldn't stand it either.
