Inside Man (2022)
A 50-50 Limited Series
I'm glad this series is only 4 episodes, as it forces the production team to trim material that only bloats the narrative. I give top marks for the cast. I give top marks for the acting. I make a big takeaway on a totally unbelievable plot line regarding the Vicar. I won't write more... just watch and perhaps you'll understand.
Stanley Tucci is riveting in his scenes, and I'm glad he's on the screen less than half the time. I'd hate to see his Sherlock Holmes/Perry Mason shtick be taken too far. I did enjoy the interplay between Jefferson Grieff (Tucci) and Dillon Kempton (cell next door). Both are smart, well-written characters.
4 episodes. It's still better than most everything on Netflix and other streaming services.
Friends: The One with the Bullies (1996)
This Cappuccino Cup is Only Half Full
This episode seems intent on serving discomfort instead of humor. Bullying... ha ha.
Monica has the best scenes as she dreads the prospect of working at a themed restaurant and invests in stocks as effectively as a cocaine bear, Phoebe has an arc that drags as she continues to try to meet her family, and Ross and Chandler deal with bullies who want the sofa and Chandler's hat.
And Joey does..,. Nothing and Rachel reacts to the "hi-jinx" of her friends.
Not all Friends episodes are created equally. Perhaps the interns wrote this. The good news? Episode 20 and Episode 22 were recommended. When I see this episode show up in my feed, I close the episode and skip to the next one.
