Elektra (2005)
Jennifer Garner is hypnotic!
The writing/script may not be the best but Jennifer is awesome! So graceful! Fluid in motion. She IS Elektra! Movie is worth just waiting for her scenes.
Abby is a believable character. She is a spoiled, lonely, intelligent, entitled teenager.
Then add Goran Visinjic! Wow. He's a single dad concerned for his daughter. She has behavioral issues and she doesn't like athority.
It's Marvel so you know there is more to it than that.
(P. S. Jennifer is an assassin!)
(P. P. S. It also has Dr. Park from Good Doctor! That tells you there, best looking cast in a movie. I don't think they give an award for that. LOL)
I don't know all the characters but we enjoyed the movie.
A Law for Christmas (2023)
Good family Christmas movie.
This wasn't the best I've seen but it was very good and I even bought copies for family members for Christmas.
I liked the main character (in the story and as an actor).
The filming was clear and concise (I expected less).
The story is of an uppity Washington ladder climber who accepts a position not knowing it is for Africulture in Tennessee. She is in for a rude awakening! Farm animals and animal poo! She stays at an inn and becomes aware of the families faith and beliefs. And she becomes aware of the good looking, Harvard educated mayor who would not want to be any where else but in this place helping these people.
It's a cute story and it's interesting how things unfolded. And it's clean enough for the family. I'll be watching for more from this group, the Wesley Bros.
2025: The World Enslaved by a Virus (2021)
Surprisingly entertaining.
The beginning of this movie was very amateurish and the acting was stilted. I hung on to see where it would go.
Most of the actors improved and I liked where it was going.
I like dystopic movies and this was definitely right in there.
I assume this was a first movie for this group. I can say the camera person(s) was very good. The lighting and angles was good. In the area where the military boss or police was it was often too "smoky" and I think that was overdone.
I decided I liked it, it kept me to the end. And, it was realistic. We've all seen this sort of thing happen in areas of the world. The ending was not what I expected but it was the way it should have gone.
I think it was worth a 7. I watched it. I wanted to see how it would go.
Roy was the best actor and character in the movie. I'll be curious where yhese movie makers go next.
