The Woman in Black (2012)
Great Movie! Very sad ending...
I really loved how the plot of the movie followed the plot of the book (also amazing) fairly well, yet also differend a bit. Yes, there were some small and major differences in regards from the book, but some of the changes helped the story a lot.
I think Daniel is amazing in this and he portrayed Arthur Kipps very well. The casting is great and the overall tone of the movie is very much like the book. There were a few minor scenes in the book that I wished would have made it into the film including the scene where Arthur rescues Spider from the marsh and when he hears the sound of the pony and trap multiple times instead of just one, which causes him to question his sanity more.
The ending shocked me quite a bit because it was heartbreaking and very different from the book. Although at the same time it was somewhat bittersweet.
I recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys a classic, old fashioned ghost story and does not mind a few jumpscares.
