The Acolyte (2024)
Horrible!
After watching Obi-Wan Kenobi series I thought to myself "You can not make a Star Wars series worse than this!" and to my surprise: SURE YOU CAN! The Dialogues are flat and soul-less; the plot, predictable and boring, the scenes, well! Guess what! You can have flames burning in space at Zero-G and in vacuum! The Acolyte doesn't stick to the fundamental roots of Star Wars either: Anakin, The Chosen One, whom was conceived in his mother womb without a father is not unique anymore and a bunch of nomad witches with high school drama can do it too. In short: WHAT STAR TREK DISCOVERY DID TO STAR TREK FRANCHISE, THE ACOLYTE DID TO STAR WARS. You want to ruin a legendary franchise? Give it to Disney!
The Winchesters (2022)
No innovation at all!
The best I can do is a "meh! Okay, good for you!" I'm a big Supernatural fan and tbh this show added nothing new to the genre! Every episode of it could easily be any episode of any season of the original Supernatural. Well except for the fact that like ALL movies and TV series in the recent years there SHOULD be some members of the alphabet gang who add nothing to the plot! Clearly a low budget spinoff which only hopes to attract the fans of the original show (and for what it's worth was successful in that manner) and never planned to grow outside the shadow of Supernatural and gain new audience from the beginning.
Returnal (2021)
Absurd!
Interestingly boring! Just a bunch of rooms appear randomly after each death. You have to start from the very beginning every time! It's amazing how a game can be so boring and futile in the year 2022! The idea of this reincarnation could be a good plot for a cheap Sci-Fi B movie in 90s! This game is ridiculous, not hard! I enjoyed every moment of Elden Ring, Dark Souls and many other difficult games but the vicious circle of this game is frustrating though it's not a difficult game per se. I wouldn't recommend it. To be fair, the idea of "dying equals losing everything" maybe funny for couple of minutes at the beginning but then you'll realize you had this feeling many decades ago playing Atari 2600 games!
