Game of Thrones: The Iron Throne (2019)
Season 8, Episode 6
10/10
Best ending Game of Throne series can have.
22 June 2019
Even a lot of people didn't like the ending and it felt to them quick and abrupt. But the editors and directors have done a great job, by cutting the extra melodrama.

I was quite hesitant watching the last season of the GoT series. And was not much excited when it was aired. Then two months later I streamed it. And my opinion is, it is very well made and story writer ended it very well. No more dragging. Thanks to GoT team.

Emotions ... As real as it could be.
20 July 2012
The good point of this movie is it not very filmy. The acting done by all the 3 main characters are above average, and story is also good. I read in a review someone was asking for background musical score. Then watch Balaji TV serials. Even the Oscar winner movie "No country for old men" did not have any background score. If you want real life like picture then you have to FEEL it. And if you want just family gathering entertainment then watch Balaji serials or SAB TV. If Boman Irani have got any more footage and scenes in the movie this movie could have failed terribly and may become a Houseful kind of movie. So right editing and right stories. Dimple Kapadi acting was very good, as usual.

Is this Film at par with City of God, or Slumdog Millionaire!? Yes! may be ..
30 June 2012
Kashyap Brothers are the new Dabangg of Bollywood. This movie will win the Oscar in best foreign language film. This movie will be in the nominations this year. This is bigger and a lot better than Sholay. You can just play the dialogues and enjoy the movie. I have seen this 3 times and want to see it several times by now. As many times I see it I just feel Real and nothing Reel. Its so interesting. As many times I see it I feel that I have seen this character somewhere, I have met these people somewhere. The characters are just > Naam ke Musalman aur Fitrat se Insaan. None of the characters are good at all, they are all bad. But they are giving some core and basic truth about humans and their strength from wherever they do belong (U.P., Bihar, etc.) they are not less than anyone, and they are too connected to the soil.

A lot better than Kahani, Ishqiya, Satya, Peepli Live, or any other this genre of movie. If you can portray so much reality in a movie, then the movie maker is really outstanding. Reality in looks, in language, in expressions, in problems and their solutions. Reality can be more felt when someone is really from these regions of the world. The kind of tension and awkwardness that is shown can be generally felt in these regions.

"Chaabi Kahan Hai ? Gaand Mein Dali Hai Kya Chaabi, Sala Sab." Khee Khee-Khee .. Hee-Hee

Most importantly I liked the posters of the film. They are like I am seeing the covers of 80s and 90s Comics, Manoj Comics, Tulsi Comics etc.

I am waiting for the sequel. "Jia ho Bihar Ke Lala, Jiya Tu Hazar Sala. Tani Naachi Ke, ..."

There is no message ... its just a story.
4 September 2011
I don't think that the director or story writer is trying to give any message to the viewers, but they are just portraying a "Realistic" and Interesting story. The story has been told very well, at least better than ridiculous movies like "Bodyguard".

I personally believe that in the end, the girl who got death punishment should shout --- "PAIDA HI KYUN KARTE HAIN, JAB SAHI PARWARISH NAHI KAR SAKTE HAIN" (as in USA the if the parents are not capable of bringing up a child properly they do not handover the child to their parents) --- instead of what she said in the movie "PAIDA HI KYUN KARTE HAIN, JAB KHILA NAHI SAKTE". But it is her own story and her own viewpoint. The way she lived throughout her life and the tortures she went through, (sisak-sisak kar jeene wali ek ladki ki kahani).

I don't think its anti-Islamist or anything like that. Many thing wrong happens around us, in our society. The picture is just projecting that micro-part of a society. The girls father is neither correct nor incorrect, he has to maintain his blood's and heir's dignity and honor, and has to follow the religious duties too. He can not outbreak everything in his thinking and tradition. While trying to maintain that and a desire to get at least one SON, he got trapped under the cruel situations and circumstances, and worst of all was the poverty. "Khuda key Liye" was just Okay and more fictitious, and "Bol" is Excellent and more towards the reality.

The only message in the end is what I think is, when the girls alone in the absence of their father, become capable of running a good restaurant. The message is always try for better, and do not under-estimate girls, and do not oppress girls.

Every one was wrong in this movie, ...
19 March 2011
Warning: Spoilers
Everyone was wrong in this movie, for their own causes.

But the most wrong was Sheriff Lester Burdon. First Burdon was among the officials who inhumanly evicted Kathy from her house. Then he was trying to help by keeping an interest of his own to mingle with Kathy. He also ruined his family life by abandoning his wife and 2 young kids. Then he was breaking the law again and again. So he end up in prison.

Kathy was wrong because if she had opened the notice of county for taxes, this problem may not have surfaced up. Kathy's brother was wrong, because when she asked him directly for help, he was too busy even to listen her properly.

County was wrong for giving unnecessary taxes to somebody who does not owe those business taxes. And then evicting the woman from her house and selling it so soon just for $500.

Behrani was wrong because he wanted to make a profit from an auctioned house for his own cause. As he was a well positioned Colonel in the past, but in the present he was hard-working in day labor jobs and in stores at night.

Esmail, the son of Behrani was wrong for pulling the gun out of Sheriff in the courtyard, for which he has been shot by other officer.

Not a very good (WAR) movie. Just a fiction.
16 March 2011
Many things are flawed in this fiction, which seems to be far away from reality. This does not touch at any point. Better than "Saving Pvt. Ryan" are "the Pianist", "Downfall", and even "Apocalypse Now". And even the TV series of "The Pacific" is a lot better. I am not a historian, so I may not be 100% correct in many of my thoughts. But in my opinion the kind of sentiments that have been shown in this movie by the military and Military General --- is unbelievable, and somehow ridiculous. Especially if it is related to World War 2, and when America is just getting up from the great depression. Why one boy is so important who had been admitted to the Army to serve his country. Now Army wants to protect this Baby!!! Funny. Every soldier has a Mom and Wife and family. At many times when the soldiers should shoot the enemy, they are letting him walk away in the name of POW. That kind of kindness never happens in reality. And I listened a lot about the opening 30 minutes scene, that it is really fantastic. But it was horrible. The opening scene of "Shooter" was much more realistic and exciting. Why the Army will land on the beach in such a suicidal way, for the massacre of their own men??? This is just a good action movie like Black Hawk Down, or Matt Damon's Green Zone.

Its not a game, its a lesson -- I saw SAW I to SAW VII
5 January 2011
Masterpiece fabulous story told in 7 years. Some movies are made to tell us Why the movies are made and give us a good reason to watch movies. Marvelously written and brilliantly filmed, Very Interesting and Intriguing. The message of the Saw series movies are clear -- don't abuse yourself, don't abuse others, control your emotions, and be fair. Do not take drugs, do not smoke, do not cheat or lie, do not frame others, try to forgive, do not keep vengeance, control the obsessions, do not make profits on others death -- Follow the Rules, and you will win in the end. Do not sin from the tiniest to the gruesome/ heinous. There are many gore and horrible scenes when the victims are TESTED. But I think its a glimpse of hell, what we can expect as the wrong doers will be punished in the after life, because they did not followed the rules or had not got the clues.

Its not a game -- Make Your Choices! Cherish Your Life!

When the Legacy was handed over from John to Detective Hoffman, it all started going in the wrong direction. He tried to fulfill John's Will, but as he had lesser human side, and was going himself against the rules. He became a Victim to be Tested by himself. The Final Chapter is also more interesting with more gore and gruesome scenes and more people getting killed now, mostly innocent and police officers. Before it is Game Over!

Predators (2010)

Some movies are made unnecessarily
16 October 2010
Predator of Schwarzenegger in 1987 was a lot more better than the Predators of 2010. It grips you from start to end but, in the end you feel what, what, what the heck?!! It fails to create the grand effects of "logical" fiction, which can be experienced in Predator 1987, Predator 2, and Terminator 2 kind of movies. And Laurence Fishburne character was complete stupidity. This movie may have used good technology but severely failed to bring the real terrifying effect between the battle among humans and predators. It looked like we are watching some B-grade video game played by a young boy with difficulty level set to Easy.

Everything very childish and bad animation effects.
6 October 2010
If you want to make you 2 to 6 years old kids to be entertained then go with them to watch this movie. It is worst than Transformers and no way to touch any mega movies like Terminator, Robo Cop, or Avatar. The story and direction is very poor and typical South Indian type, the rape of attempt on girl and unnecessary long fight scenes. The worst thing is its special effects. But what should we say to Indians, who even liked the Krish type of movie very much. The ending special effects are so bad that I was feeling to vomit on the floor of the theater. It becomes a globe and Snake, and drill machine. So childish everything, Ha ha ha the Kind of "Mogambo Khush Huwa". I think the Indian Cine goers are still living in the age of Mr. India and 20 years back in time. Wake up and don't appreciate such garbage things. ROBOT is only for children.

Full of loopholes .... bad in taste.
6 June 2010
I thought that Prakash Jha made Gangajal, so he will give us something good and new to watch. But alas! the movie was very bad. The movie is full of loopholes and flaws. We were expecting some thrilling drama, and not a gang-war movie. There was no politics, but only like gangsters killing each other with guns and bombs remote control in their hands. There was nothing related to any Indian politician except they dressed up Katrina Kaif like Sonia Gandhi and promoting Ranbir Kapoor as Rahul Gandhi. But after seeing movie we know that there is nothing like that. I wasted up my thousand Rupees by watching it in theater. But please avoid this movie. Recently only Housefull was entertaining and any movie coming after that are all bad in taste.

After watching Kites ... Housefull is very good!!
25 May 2010
I went to watch Hosefull by knowing clearly that this is a Sajid Khan's movie, and it has to be stupid and dumb. I watched the movie Housefull with my gf and very few audiences in the cinema hall. But I laughed and enjoyed the movie through out. I wanted to give a 4 or 5 rating, and even didn't wanted to right a review for the movie. But after watching worse (BC) and worst (Kites) movies one after another, I have to do some justification to the Sajid Khan's movie. So I'm giving Housefull a fully comedy and entertaining movie 8 out of 10, after watching Badmash Comapny and Kites. I gave Kites 1 out of 10 and wanted to give Badmash Company 0 out of 10.

Worse than you can expect .... Bakwaas hai Bhai!
25 May 2010
This movie is all about good looks only. Good looking Hrithik Roshan and good looking Barabara. The visuals and cinematic effects and lighting combination are very good. Hrithik and Barbara's performance are also excellent. I think the writer and director are inspired by some Max Payne kind of video games. And tried to give the same type of effects in the rain, and flashback and memories, and the way of story telling. The worst thing is its story, and the very unnecessary garbage kind of Action scenes. The climax is sooo boring that one wants to quit the show before its end. And the End is also very disappointing and flawed. The movie maker has satisfied himself fully by experimenting a lot of techniques, and by portraying very depressed and lonely emotions. But the movie is not able to entertain any sane person. The story line is too DUMB and weak. Kites has no resemblance in the movie. Kites title has also been chosen just like that. And finally Hrithik should tell us whether he is a body builder or dancer. He looks so odd when he dance with such a muscular body and an alien hand. Most of the scenes are like director is trying to shoot for a modeling agency like Wills Life Style, and not a movie.

Whatever they say ... I liked the movie
12 January 2010
May be people who have read the book has not got the movie as per their expectations. But this happens most of the time when a book is adapted to the movie. But I have not read the book in advance and I did not read any of the reviews either before watching the movie. So I watched the movie with a clear mind. What I felt during the movie was wonderful. the love between a father and her beautiful daughter. And the way the murdered innocent child daughter is telling her own story. She is one time able to see the paradises also. But she refuses to give up. She wants revenge. She lost her love, her family and her life, everything. Just due to a Psycho neighbor. So she want him also to die any how. This is the story of that innocent, beautiful 14 years old girl. And on the screen this story has been told very uniquely and brilliantly. The silent and soothing music throughout the movie. The imaginable beautiful scenes that one can expect after death. Don't care about whether it is a CGI or a soul's perception. Overall I liked the movie. Watch without any pre-expectations and mindset. Forget about the novel etc. You will enjoy the movie. And the last but not least Saoirse Ronan is the most beautiful girl on this earth.

Wildest Insane Crazy Action ... Blood Soaked!
2 January 2010
I enjoyed the high resolution DVD from the beginning to end. And watched the whole movie in a single sitting. Its a mindless game of blood, murders, and Pure Action from start to end. I was just thinking at some point the plot will go weaker and I will be able to point it out. But it remained consistently interesting. I know there are many action movies, made with so much action and little reality. But this movie tried to maintain the balance between reality and hyper virtual-ism. There were no big stars. But what keeps you hooked is blood, cruelty, killings, and lust for money. Not for faint hearts.

Now!!! What to write 10 lines about an action film!?? Should I tell the story line by line. IMDb people please reduce the 10 lines limits. We are not geeky professional reviewer who writes for a news paper or blah blah blah on Television. We just want to share what we liked and why we liked.

Typical Vidhu Vino Chopra type of Comedy FILM
29 December 2009
Ya, this is just a film and everything is very filmy. Whether it is giving answer to ragging seniors or how easily a Gardner's son reach to the top Engineering college and how easily he gave sacrifices. Then how Runaway bride came into the scene. In Mumbai rain "CHAMELI" is sitting in the hospital and Hero is on the road in the rain to make her sister's delivery. Everything is very filmy, nothing should be taken seriously especially by young students. The movie overall is very good and entertaining. Its having a lot like Munna Bhai MMBBS, but instead of Medical Education they picked up Engineering this time. The movie touch some genuine topics which really make this education system worst. How to handle the pressures, and most importantly "WHEN THEY WILL LEARN -- HOW TO LEARN??"

I love James Cameron
25 December 2009
When I saw Terminator 2 in 1994 I did not knew who was the director. But Terminator 2 is still my best action film. I have several of its action scenes clearly in my memory and background music during the action scenes. Like when Arnold Shots and Breaks the chain of the door and then He jumps from the high point on the below road with bike. And the sparks coming out of tires of the HD bike. The hospital scene where Arnold takes out gun from the Rose bouquet and steps over the roses. Similarly there were few more remarkable scenes. Then came Titanic and as we all know it was such a grand movie. Depicting the grandness of the Ship and touching love story all very beautifully. I felt a lot of same kind of unforgettable effects while watching Avatar. The background music in the end giving a similar kind of beat as it was in Terminator 2: The Judgment Day. The film making is not just about utilizing the latest technology and to increase the budget. Its neither about to show all of your imaginations on the Silver Screen. (Harry Potter series have also a lot of imaginations but I never admired them). Actually the film making is about how you can capture the audience whole interest as they feel themselves involved in the situation. And when finally the audience comes out of the Cinema Hall he/she can easily re-construct the whole ideas of the film and can join it all together, to generate more interest in the mind to see it even multiple times. I just want to say Long Live James Cameron. If I can have some of his brilliance in me I will think myself very much blessed and lucky.

The beginning was very good but End not so effective
25 November 2009
About Movie :: It is good to be watched for best special effects of the present time. The story line is not so effective. Direction was OK in the first half of the movie, but later all the focus was just on the Giant Ship and the unnecessary climax scene in which the ship's door was stuck due to some hydraulic failure. The great savior of Hollywwod style goes inside the water to remove the cable from the stuck wheels and so on. When the whole world is dying John Cussac character becomes so important that he should not die and a lot of focus given to this one particular guy. American president is dying that's no problem, but this Limo Driver is so important.

Armageddon will happen. But the world will Not End so soon, I hope so. Human souls will not get relief from pain and pleasure so soon. Jesus Christ will come before the end of the world. And he will establish Islamic reign all over the world. His reign will last for about 27 years. And after several years when there will be no Muslim in the world, the end will come. Jews will remain till the End.

Bad No Blood and No Love and No Story at all
21 November 2009
I see very rarely a Bollywood film, last I saw Love Aaj Kal (a pretty good film). So by deciding to watch K for Qurban I wasted my time and energy. Better I should have seen 2012. In the whole movie there were only two scenes worth watching and rest of all was plain BORING. The one scene of Action when a terrorist blows himself to kill FBI agents and the other scene of Love when Saif sacrifices his life for his Love. Both the scenes are less than 2 minutes. The whole movie is soulless. There is no intensity in the film no good dialogues. And who put that idiot face Oberoi in films?? On a similar topic they tried to make a film named New York starring John Abraham and Katrina Kaif. That film was also a big fool on the face of audience. Now Some new director came to show his talent on the Eunuch film maker film( Mr. Karan Johar). I saw one very good film on this topic of attack and terror and that was Black Friday from Mr. Anurag Kashayap. Mr. Anurag is a very very talented director in comparison to these idiots who made Kurbaan and New York.

We got the Sholay of the 21st century !
20 August 2009
Excellent Marvellous Fantastic Bravo the words are few for this movie. I am writing this review after watching it for the 3rd time. And still I want to see it a few more times. Once I wrote on the Slumdog Millionaire review that Indian Film makers should learn some thing from Danny Boyle , But now I am glad to have seen such an excellent Indian movie. You can say it is at par to Spiderman I , or Batman The Dark Knight, or even Slumdog Millionaire. Or something like the City of Gods Each scene is so nicely shot and the perfect direction and acting and editing. And Dialogues are Ummmmm really nice. " Ife Pata Nahi ki duniya kitni haramzadi hai , aur tum fale Kutte kitne bade kaminey Ho" Lolx . On the other hand Music and Lyrics are also excellent of this movie. Vishal Bharadwaj and Gulzar has done excellent job. Vishal Bharadwaj should be really applauded for giving us such a nice movie. The movie is so realistic , its not so filmy type. Even the gangsters and those Maharashtrian Marathi Bhope LOL.
