This movie perfectly reflects the life of Kurdish people in Iran, especially those who live on the borders. There is no exaggeration about their life and there are even more tragic stories about Kurdish people in Iran and the heartbreaking death of underage porters who carry goods on their backs across the Iran-Iraq border from soldiers' bullets or cold weather. Moreover, the socioeconomic characteristics of Kurdish society are reflected flawlessly. Poverty, individuals' occupation, lack of access to basic education, public health, and utilities because of inequalities reflected in their life.
The movie also reflects the connection between the Kurdish people in Iran and Iraq through the conversation between the two children in the tea house. When the Iraqi Kurd gives a picture and tells him to pay the money the next time that you come, the director is going to mention the trust between them. One thing that was unique was using drink and giving it to the horses which is illegal in Iran and I don't know how government let that happen.
