One Piece: Wan pîsu: Meibutsu kokku! Kaijou resutoran no Sanji (2000)
One of the best character introductions
One of my favourite characters: Sanji was introduced in this episode. They also introduce us to the Baratie Restaurant that lets in all kinds of people. From the owner Zeff to every single cook in the restaurant doesn't care about norms. They show how marines and pirates are all treated equally inside the restaurant.
Sanji is one of the main characters with a deep and sad backstory. With his tough past, after going through so much he has learned so many valuable lessons. From the beginning Sanji continues to do what he believes to be right without following the norms.
This episode had a serious side with the introductions and plot but, they haven't forgotten about the usual humour either. I didn't skip a single second of the episode because every single second had content worth watching. Absolute masterpiece.
One Piece: Wan pîsu: Seigi no usotsuki? Kyaputen Usoppu (2000)
Usopp the greatest liar
10 fully packed episodes completed. They've introduced 4 members of the crew so far. Main characters were built amazingly with deep backstories without leaving a single plot hole. One Piece characters are created in a way that they could be alive in a parallel universe. World building is on another building. This amazing character building goes beyond the main characters. You could meet a random character that would appear only for a few episodes but written better than the protagonist of some newer shows.
What makes the Straw Hats different from others is, they keep their promises no matter what happens.
One Piece: Wan pîsu: Ore wa Luffy! Kaizoku Ou ni Naru Otoko Da! (1999)
Beginning of the end of anime
This is the first episode of the greatest anime of all time. After watching One Piece, I've started to judge other anime keeping this as the normal standard and because of that, naturally I don't enjoy most of the other shows now. Other shows don't have the depth as this. This is Oda's work of a lifetime. Show some respect even if you don't want to watch it.
1000+ episodes might be too long but it's worth the time. First episode might not be a banger. One Piece is not a show that hooks you up in episode 1 and then gradually loses the shine. It eventually gets better and better. You have to climb the mountain and reach the peak to see everything. See it for yourself before judging this masterpiece.
