Arranged (2015)
Lose the camera hoe gypsy parents.
My gawd! It's not about those two parents. No other parents want to hog the camera. The show is pretty scripted. The Indian woman is totally annoying. All about her and no compromise. Me, me, me. Me, I, I, I, She's impossible and should never get married. She needs no one else but her precious self. The two parents of the gypsies are annoying. What guido camera hogs. They raised a selfish, self aborsed mean son. Probably 3 of them. Did they make some sort of arrangement with the producers to be in almost every shot. I just wanted to tell them to go away. Overall, it's ok. That's it. The kids from SC are so young but I want to sl ap his mother and grandmother in the face for being awful. No kindness in them. Shame on them.
The Great British Bake Off (2010)
I love this show
And always look forward to the next season. I can't bake anything so I love watching people use their talents and come up with some amazing deserts. I think I've watched every season at least a couple of times. I have one critique though. The new woman is a mistake. She's loud and annoying and I feel inappropriate at times. I with the man whose place she took would come back. Such a funny guy. This woman not so much. She talks waaaaay too much. I dunno but I think she is a fail for the show. Besides that, everyone else is so enjoyable to watch and learn from. Her, not so much. Regardless, I am already looking forward to the next season.
Casey Anthony: Where the Truth Lies (2022)
I would give this 0 rating if I could.
To be fair, I didn't finish watching it. I couldn't stand to watch. It was just too much b.s. For me. It was apparent she still believes she is the smartest person in the room and we are all just morons to buy into her constant blaming of others. Casey Anthony drugged her daughter, tapped her face so if she woke up no one would hear her cry and there she died so that Casey could party. She would be in jail if the prosecutor allowed 2nd degree murder. To this day, she is lying through her teeth and what she is selling, no one is buying. To listen to her on this program and watch her body language proves to me even more that she killed her child.
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (2017)
I have tried to watch this three different times
And though I think the story line would be worth watching it is such a grating program. She never shuts up - EVER. There is not one second in this whole series where someone isn't yammering, screaming, crying or just babbeling. I couldn't tolerate it. So unerving to my peace. I really, really wanted to like it but found it impossible. I love comedies this wasn't one. Actually, I couldn't say what it was. Stupid. That's what it is - stupid. If you want to lose brain cells then sit in front of this show. If it's true that this is a number one program, we have some serious problems but I just couldn't do it.
Low Country: The Murdaugh Dynasty (2022)
It's now been proven
Much of this documentary was nothing more than innuendo, rumor and gossip. HBO once again disappoints. It's just another HBO piece of garbage. Those "journalists" are not explaining fact but simply their personal opinions which is all journalists seem to do anymore anyway. It is obvious this family was doomed to fall. Now that the murder trial has taken place we know that much of what was intimated in this show by the journalists, especially the woman was never true. So disappointing. I think this man and family in general are horrible people. Period but that doesn't negate the truth or that lies were passed off as truths in this program.
Secrets of the Zoo (2018)
I really enjoy these types of programs.
Very informative and interesting if you can get past the annoying women who seem to enjoy hearing themselves talk. Incredibly irritating. Like nails of a chalk board. Aside from that, I do enjoy learning about taking care of these creatures and learning about the vetrinary practices. It looks to be a beautiful place and if I mute it half the time it's good. I'm glad there will be a new season and I'm looking forward to watching more of it. Love animals and love learning about them. It's just hard getting past the silly yammering that goes on incessantly. I've seen other zoo shows that don't seem to have this problem.
Délicieux (2021)
Such a simple but enthralling movie.
Wonderful cinematography, well written and great storyline. I was hooked within the first five minutes and for me, who has no patience for movies anymore is really saying something. Generally, the first 30 minutes of a movie is brutal waiting for the storyline to develop. I love the ability of foreign film to remain simple yet captivate your attention. It was a beautiful story with plenty of ups and downs throughout. The characters are top notch and well acted. There is a message in this movie that even though it takes place pre-French revolution, is very relevant today. I noticed many similarities and just goes to show you, you can learn from history because people never really change. Bravo!
My Unorthodox Life (2021)
I'd give it zero stars if I could.
Horrible, awful, shallow show. The only thing in this woman's world that she considers wicked is religion. If you have faith and a belief system you are an awful person. Just a really screwed up bunch of people. Julia Haart is a self absorbed woman who wants everyone in her world to reaffirm her descisions she made in the past and if you don't jump on her band wagon, you just aren't living your life right and let's be honest, she didn't make all that money. She married into it but she continually reinforces her lie that she did it herself. I can see why her ex-husband won't let her get away with her scam. I wouldn't either. These people are the epitome of what's wrong with modern self-centered, self-absorbed women today. I like to watch reality shows to laugh at the clowns on them...this one is a total 3 ring circus.
Dead to Me (2019)
Dark comedy at it's finest.
In my opinion, one of the best shows streaming today. In many cases, a show is good through out until you get to the last season, then they seem to just be thrown together. Dead to Me isn't one of those. The last season is as good as the first. Appelgate and Cardellini absolutely do knock it out of the park as well as all the other actors. Simply a splendid program with great acting, great writing. I enjoyed it thoroughly and am sad that there will not be another season. So enjoyable to see a truly funny show for a change. My husband even enjoyed watching it with me and that never happens. I'll be watching it again and again.
Little People, Big World (2006)
While this show is entertaining at best
I decided to post a review simply to ask the question, "can Tory stop using the word 'like'?" She made fun of Zach and his pronounciation but my gosh, does she have any idea how annoying that habit of hers is? Grow up and start speaking like an adult instead of a California valley girl wanna be 7th grader. I love Matt and Karen. Very enjoyable to watch. The ex-wife (whatever her name is) is a complete train wreck. So self-absorbed. Seems like she is happiest when her friends, family and anyone who is around her lets her talk about herself to her hearts content. Geeze! Honestly, I generally watch these types of shows to laugh at the people who are on them and take themselves so seriously. Entertaining for sure but not for the reasons they want.
I Am Shauna Rae (2022)
the constant whining and complaining
Miss negativity is all you get with this woman. She uses her disability relentlessly. Her family is wonderful and very enjoyable. Shauna is a very attractive person. Very intelligent and funny but my gawd I can no longer listen to the victimization of hers. It almost negates all of her good qualities. I hope for her sake she gets out of her own way and realize she's not the center of the universe and that her mother stops enabling her. All that does is allows Shauna to manipulate others and keeps her feeling sorry for herself. She has a need to be constantly the center of attention. I'm out!!!
Keep This Between Us (2022)
It's typical that no one in this documentary wants to take any
Responsibility for what happened. Now, I'm not the brightest crayon in the box, but even at 16 I knew a relationship with a teacher and a married one at that would be wrong. The reason this woman was eager, yes eager to continue on with this illicit relationship is because it stroked her ego and that is ALL she cared about. Period. It's obvious she has still to realize that truth. In this modern age, ego and arrogance (despite the destructiveness of both), rule the day. Yes, he was manipulative but if she wants the audience to believe she was just a itty, bitty naive innocent who "diunt do nuffin" wrong is laughabled. The guy is obviously a predator and needs to be revealed and thrown in jail but that doesn't mean she is an innocent bystander I can't believe that girls think it's ok to have relationships with teachers as this documentary implied due to the "culture" of the 2000s . What's wrong with people today? Do they truly have no sense of right or wrong outside what the popularity culture dictates? If so, then how base and vapid we have all become. Hollywood shares much of the blame. All that said, the documentary was put together well and kept my attention and I was very interested in the psychology surrounding it but then the human condition can be both amazing and disappointing.
The Bling Ring (2022)
I liked the show and feel it was made in a way that some people may question their own charachter
LA is comprised of these types. Pathetic, misguided, miserable, narcissistic, vapid souls not to be emulated but ignored. The fact that parents don't teach or care to teach their children that there is more to life than greed, celebrity and selfish victimhood is disturbing, though obviously true in some families. It was unreal to me how everyone in this show played the victim in one form or fashion. Jeeze O' Pete. Unbelievable.
The show was well made, kept my attention and did a good job communicating the true lesson. Greed and celibrity, whether it involves a common thief or a celebrity is always ugly. It's ok to be ordinary.
Better Things (2016)
Haarummmp
I had to fast forward through much of it because it got so bogged down and tiring and please tell me this isn't real life for people in LA. If so, no wonder so many children today are self centered, boorish, disrespectful people with mothers like this whimped out victim who teaches them this behavior is OK. If my girls ever treated me like that, they'd never do it again. It was entertaining at first but really became difficult to watch. I asked my husband to watch it with me because in the beginning it was hilarious but when he finally agreed to watch it with me it had became nothing but a beatch fest. Everyone whining. Everyone complaining. No longer funny. We turned it off. I can't imagine 5 seasons of this. One more thing. With all the enviormental concerns coming out of that part of the country, how can a family of 4 females generate soooo much trash? This too seems to be nothing more than a bunch of talk and hypocrisy. I fear it's the norm for most hollywood families. Tisk, tisk.
Julia (2022)
So glad I found this show
After watching a few more episodes, I'm forced to change my review. Too much modern day wokeness which is not true to the times nor a true representation of Julia Child's biography. Such a shame everything is sacrificed for the woke and social warrior crowd. Including truth. Started out so wonderfully. Ended up not so much.
