Big Eyes (2014)
Good balance of drama, romance, crime and comedy
I was engaged right from the start as the show clearly has a crystal story flow. Scenes are in order and not all over the place with different characters to confuse you. They are sharp.
Walter is a good promoter and salesman but no products while Maggie is the opposite. They work well together until Maggie felt like she need the credit more than the money that the works bring. But this would mean trouble for the couple.
Walter did brought them to the financial statues they want with Maggie's works. Once Maggie was financially independent she thought credits and fame is more important than finance and decided to go to court for that and that's where the comedy began.
I believe the movie provides good balance of drama, romance, crime and comedy. Enjoy watching it.
Coming Home in the Dark (2021)
Not a movie for action takers. Good for bystanders.
This movie was ok until the part where the dad didn't do anything to save his family. If you are action takers, you would be stressed out watching this movie as I did. With all the opportunities presented, he didn't take them untill finally his wife jumped. Even after that, he still try to ask for help and his act caused other people to die. I am stressed watching this movie but I understand it's not made for me. It would be ok if you are a bystander in life. Only in hindsight I knew though. To me movie has a purpose. Either as an entertainment or to send a message to the masses. This one was probably trying to make the bystander think and wish they had done something to change things in their life path. Thanks for reading my review.
A Murder at the End of the World (2023)
Pretty good plot, intense and caught me off guard at times
I must say this is one of the shows that captivate my attention as I am not into this kind of shows - thriller. The plot was slowly built and that make me more invested in the characters over time.
At one point, I was mad at Darby (Emma Corrin) when she was doing things at the spur of the moments and jeopardizing herself and Bill. In a way, she undermines women's intelligence and wit. But that just proves she was a good actress.
Another instance of that message was when Sian was driving recklessly but I realized she was trying to escape the storm. Pretty good show overall and I don't mind watching it again.
Baby Ruby (2022)
Don't Let the Movie Get to You..
I am not sure what the producer was trying to achieve with this movie but watching it make me feel stupid and angry. Maybe that's the emotions the director was trying to stir. This movie is maybe depicting 5% of parental experiences with babies. But sure not me.
At one point it cracked me up coz I felt so stupid and funny at the same time. But hey, to be fair, the mother was probably had some traumatic past experiences and just not equipped to handle the situations.
I have had a baby experience at one point and my Dr told me what baby does. So I have to not let the baby run the show. You are the adult. The baby is just a baby. This movie proved it can be the other way around.
