His Only Son (2023)
Not biblically accurate. Lack of story building.
The story is wrongly depicted and is not an accurate account of how God communicated with Abraham. First and foremost, the true God never directly appeared before Abraham in any shape or form, for God is a Spirit, (John. 4:24). Who has no flesh and bones, (Luke 24:36). And is invisible, (I Timothy 1:17). It was the voice of God which called out to Abraham in the opening of Genesis 22. Not a man appearing as God. Also take note, God said,... "You cannot see my face, for man shall not see Me and live" (Exodus 33:20). Furthermore, even the apostle John declared that "no man has seen God at any time" (John 1:18). Therefore, Abraham would have died had he gazed upon the true God, who is none other than the Father. Even Abrahams first encounter with God, what appeared before him were 3 Angels/ Messengers manifested in human form. (Genesis 18).
The movie failed short in its story development. It should have started with the build up of Sarah being barren and the promise of God to make Abraham a father with his first miracle child being Issac to build context to the story line that leads up to the ultimate test of sacrifice. A great opportunity was missed to tell a great story and struggles of Abraham and Sarah and the birth of their first child Issac, and how Issac was so special and dearly loved by Abraham to bring the story to full light. The story had so much potential, but unfortunately failed to deliver. The script was poorly written for a great cinema experience to bring the story of Abraham to life.
This movie is a far cry compared to the great story telling of "The Chosen" and the quality of its characters and delivery.
John Wick: Chapter 4 (2023)
Invisible bulletproof clothing? Get shot many times but don't die? John Wick turns video game.
After 40 minutes of nonsense, I could not watch the stupidity anymore. How many times does a villain have to get shot at point-blank to go down or even die? 5, 6? So what does that mean, does everyone now have some kind of invisible bulletproof material stitched into the fabric of their nice clothing from head to toe? OR are the bullets just missing at 8 inches away? This movie was so pathetic. It was like watching a replay of a video game where the opponent does not die till his life bar runs out after taking so many lethal hits. Just ridiculous! John Wick part 4 had hardly had any storyline and nothing but kill, run, kill, and each kill taking forever since everyone seemed to be magically bulletproof.
Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time on this ridiculous nonsensical movie.
Where are these stupid 7 to 10 star ratings coming from? Hired goons for boost marketing? For me to give this movie 3 stars is already considered extremely generous.
The Batman (2022)
Utterly terrible and the wrong actor for Batman. MUST READ.
Just so many wrong things about this movie, but I will mention a few without giving away any spoilers to the story from what little I could bare watching. For one, it's shocking that any producer or director can even think about choosing a skinny bony ass actor like Robert Pattinson for the role of batman. It's funny how they tried to make the suit beef up his anorexic body, it was so cringing, then with his cheap looking batman mask that looked like it was built out of cardboard or medical cast material made it look very cheap. In addition, he looked like a Chinese man with his feminine slanted eyes, it was just not the right face or even body built for the batman role. Robert Pattinson is just not masculine at all. Then his acting was even more cringing, trying sooooooo hard to fit the role of batman but just a complete failure. He had no originality, and he was just dull and boring, and at times even seemed confused.
Secondly, Batman "layer" was just all wrong, and not in harmony of batman's history where batman layer is in a cave at his mansion and possesses massive wealth with his amazing ingenuity of advance technology, not Mickey Mouse gadgets that someone built out of their car garage, not to mention how his layer looked like an old torn apart 1960s piece of crap theater that some earthquake buried underground, and a subway built over it. It was such a disappointment. I don't even understand how this movie got such a high rating. I would not give it more than 3 stars, and that's being generous.
Thirdly, everything from gadgets to bodysuit was a complete failure. It all looked like someone went to the department store and bought him a Halloween costume, then went to a garage sale to buy kitchen part add-ons to modify it to look between a Lego and Edward scissor hands costume. It was that bad. Everything about him was all wrong.
Fourthly, after seeing the first 30 minutes of this butchery of batman I could no longer watch anymore; the massive cringe in my stomach was unbearable, and it's very rare I won't at least try to complete a movie unless it's really that bad and cringing and this was one of those movies. This movie will be a forever stain on the batman franchise. What an embarrassment!
The Pope's Exorcist (2023)
The best cheesy comedy and B class actor you can hire.
This movie was so bad that instead of making me feel scared, I could not stop laughing; the kid was pure comedy, I just could not watch anymore. I feel really bad for Russel Crow to have to take on such a movie with such an incredibly cheesy production and B class actors. This movie is a far cry from scary, even some of the music was inappropriate in the beginning. If you want a good movie based on possession, watch "Deliver Us From Evil" or the original classic, "The Exorcist," or if you want a good horror movie watch the "Conjuring," anything is better than this failed piece of failed comedy, oops, did I just say comedy? I meant to say horror.
The Noel Diary (2022)
A Christmas holiday movie with a character cheating on her fiancé? Disgusting.
What kind of woman (Rachel) cheats on her loving fiancée? And what kind of man (Jake) sleeps with a woman who is about to get married? This movie was just so indecent for it being a so-called "heart-warming Christmas romance." This movie made both characters come across as very sleazy. On top of it all, these two characters had no chemistry at all.
Now here are some disconnects and mistakes.
Rachel appears as a stranger at Jake's mother's house as a complete stranger inquiring about her biological mother who used to live there with Jake's family and worked as a nanny and helper. Jake just happened to be there handling affairs with the house because his mother had just passed away. Since Jake did not know where the former helper was at, they ask the (neighbor) Ellie if she knew where she had relocated too. Now the mistakes...
Mistake No.1:
Ellie the neighbor knows Rachel is a stranger to Jake, but towards the end of the movie upon Jake's return after looking for Rachel's mother's whereabouts, Ellie said she was sure about the two of them, so she was surprised they were no longer together upon his return. There was no plot development for Ellie the neighbor to even conclude such a romantic notion that they would be together when Rachel was just a stranger to both Jake and her and Rachel was only there on an inquiry.
Mistake No.2:
Rachel never goes to visit the mother after finding out where her biological mother is located but instead after Jake and Rachel's one-night stand, Rachel and Jake part ways and Jake was the one to go seek out Rachel's biological mother when it should have been Rachel who looks for her mother, so why Jake?
Mistake 3:
Rachel's mother should have been played by a much older woman to fit the part, but the woman who played Rachel's biological mother looked like she was 5 years younger than Rachel and was prettier too. I thought Jake was going to kiss that woman too, LOL!
This movie and the whole plot was just a bit disjointed.
Silverado (1985)
Slow burn and boring.
Kevin Coster should have never been picked for this role, he just seemed so out of place and did not fit the character the rest of the actors were just okay. But as for Costner, it was just akward. I dont understand how this moving got such a high rating. Don't wast your time with this movie unless you dont mind very slow burning westerns. I think most of theses rating probably were submitted years ago, but by today's standards this movie would be a terrible fail. There are Westerns that are know classics that till the present can still hold their own and be appreciated, this is not one of them. Even the script at times throughout the movie felt force with no substance.
28 Days Haunted (2022)
So FAKE and forced.
Its so extremely obvious that so much of it was fake, so if there was anything authentic to it at all, well they ruined it by adding all the fake stuff and I would say almost all of it was fake. It's also so scripted what they were led to say to help the ratings of the show but even then that did not help or make it feel any more real.
If you enjoy a bad comedy and cringing performance then this would be the show for you. But if you are looking for a true scare, then go watch yourself a good horror movie like, "The Conjuring" or something. Anything is better than this attempt of a worthless sorry of a show. No wonder why its has such a bad viewers score because it really is that bad.
Spiral: From the Book of Saw (2021)
Improper Cast for the Role
The moment I saw that the Captain of their Police Department was a very young woman, it was a complete turn off from reality. She just did not fit the role and gave the whole movie a cheezy feeling. This role should have been played by someone in their late 50's that gave the visual impression of having many years of experience under their belt to fit the role of law enforcement. Then comes Chris Rock, the main Character of the movie. This was a very bad choice of an actor to play this role. Just awkward and misplaced. It seemed so forced of him trying to play a serious character when he still sounded like a comedian.
The story line had a lot of potential but the selection of actors for the role was bad and the movie no longer felt realistic, so 27 minutes into the movie I could no longer continue. Maybe I will watch it in bits and pieces as a filler when needing to fill in the gaps of time when waiting on my wife to get done cooking before her and I sit down to watch an actual movie worth our time.
Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)
I call this Wodersaster!
The first Wonder Woman movie thats was released was great with real substance but this one was a DISASTER! 1/4 through it I could not continue anymore, it was just so DUMB and CRINGY. It went from a Hollywood blockbuster to a terrible 8 year old children's movie. What a shame!
