Hen you dummy
Okay, ignoring the stupid cheating storyline with Hen, this isn't a bad episode. It has a lot of fun different calls, and it's funny. But not ignoring the stupid cheating storyline with Hen, it upsets me as a WLW seeing storylines like that with WLW couples in shows. That's just me.
My mom's review: "Hen stop being stupid"
9-1-1: Heartbreaker (2018)
Chim's back!!
I'm so happy! Chimney's back! That's all that matters about this episode. Athena's storyline was great in this episode, Angela Bassett is amazing and was so good in this episode. Overall I don't hate this episode.
My mom's review: "But Abby wants to have sex with you Buck."
9-1-1: Point of Origin (2018)
I miss Chim
It wasn't a bad episode, I love Bobby's storyline, it makes season one worth watching. I loved seeing Karen. Athena is amazing, as always. The Buck and Abby stuff is eh. Hen getting more screentime is amazing. I just really miss Chimney.
My mom's review: "I hate Buck"
9-1-1: Worst Day Ever (2018)
Someone hug Bobby
I always love Bobby's storylines, they're so heartbreaking but done so beautifully. My heart truly breaks for Bobby everytime I watch this. It's a good episode, it feels a little off without Chim, but they still did a good job.
My mom's review: *About the girl who bullied May* "SHOOT HER!"
9-1-1: Next of Kin (2018)
Chimney :(
Chimney is one of my favorite characters in the show, so everytime I see this it just makes me sad. Overall I don't think it's a bad episode.
My mom's review: "I've seen pictures of him from later episodes, how does he not have a giant scar?"
9-1-1: Let Go (2018)
Season 1 is a fever dream
Okay so, I don't like this episode because of the storyline with Buck's therapist. So that clouds my opinion quite a bit. Putting that storyline aside, it's not the worst episode, it's still season 1 they're still trying to find their footing. The end of the episode with May breaks my heart, Athena's reaction, Angela Bassett is next level
My mom's review: "I want 3 episodes in a row where Buck loses someone on a call."
9-1-1: Pilot (2018)
Angela Bassett is wonderful, as always.
I am watching with my mom (My 3rd time watching, my moms first.) And I just have to say it is fun watching with other people. It's very much a typical procedural drama (Or as I like to call them, middle aged mom shows.) It's very fun, high energy, and has interesting characters. As of now everyone is kinda a jerk. But I love the show deeply.
My mom's review: "I hate everyone except the Black ladies, abd the old white guy he's okay."
9-1-1: Outside Looking In (2022)
Eddie Diaz saves the day
Gonna start by saying that this isn't a bad episode. They did stupid things with characters, and ruined character development, but it wasn't bad, Ghost Stories was worse. Now that I got that out of the way, lets get to it. I don't have a ton of opinions on Lucy and Jonah, we haven't seen enough of them. I think they can be interesting characters. Athena is amazing as always. I'm loving the Linda and Eddie friendship. Buck and Hen BOTH felt out of character to be me. The scene with Bobby and Eddie is amazing, I'm looking forward to see what they do with that. The scene with Eddie and Christopher was so important for the both of them, I'm so happy they had that conversation. Ravi is amazing! Give us more of him! The dinner scene with Eddie, Buck, Christopher, and Taylor felt a little awkward, scenes with MW are always a little awkward. Eddie had such a good storyline this episode, he was honestly the best part of this episode, I'm so incredibly excited for Eddie's storyline this season.
9-1-1: Boston (2022)
maddie and chim save the show
JLH and Kenneth are absolutely fantastic, give them all the awards. It's a beautiful episode, honestly the best episode of this season. They didn't take PPD lightly, they showed the struggles of it, and how it can effect someone. It truly is a fantastic episode, so happy to have Maddie abd Chimney back.
