Absolutely love it!
I was absolutely hooked in the first 15 minutes and anxiously awaited every minute after it! I love the premise of the show, as it feels like several of my favorites wrapped into one (Lie to Me, Scandal, Leverage) and I LOVE Shanola Hampton. She does a fantastic job of leading the cast and bouncing off the different actors. I didn't even recognize MPG at first!
I think there's a lot of representation that is missed in a lot of shows without it being "over the top" to be inclusive. All of the characters feel genuine and fully fleshed out without being stereotypes or caricatures. Each character has their own story and I can't wait to learn each one!
The Lost City (2022)
A new bar for Himbos.
Channing Tatum really came out of the gate a said "toxic masculinity who?"
The physical comedy is peak, there's enough ups and downs that it's not trying too hard to be all romance/comedy/drama at one time. The "romance novel writing" is the perfect level of cringe. Daniel Radcliffe plays the absolute perfect balance elated derangement.
Hands down the movie I've laughed the most at in theaters. Will own on DVD.
Some reviews are being super critical but if you're looking to have a good time, this is it.
Murderville (2022)
Much MUCH better than I was anticipating!
I really enjoyed the reoccurring characters as well as the special guests. The clues are a little obvious once you are a couple episodes in and know what to look for, would be interesting to see how they have to keep evolving to make it harder for new guests.
I think there is a lot of potential for some funny people. I really look forward to seeing guests for next season!
