Mahabharat (2013)
Absolute trash
I have just finished watching the 94 episode series by Chopra, made in 1988. I like it so much, that I would gladly watch 260 more episodes of it, and I was looking forward to the 2013 version..
Sadly, this version is simply a piece of trash, in every aspect.. acting, dialogues, effects, cinematography, and most importantly, you are using the greatest poem of humankind to make the cheapest, worst soap opera ever??
Like another reviewer said, Shame on all the people that took part in making this. It is an insult to Indian culture, and an insult to intelligence.
Liu lang di qiu (2019)
Epic scifi!
Bravo, the Chinese made Interstellar look cheap, and for a fraction of the money. Based on science - most of the time - but ok if you consider the premise, even to imagine such a task is fiction. But this is the best part, a scifi movie with original ideas!
Even political hints, Chinas best friend is Russia 😉
Best part, no American heroes 😂

Voyerism does not play well in films
By definition, a movie has a story to tell. It does this either by dialogue, or by sequential events.
This one has neither. It's like observing with binoculars something in the distance, and not have any clue about what's really going on. Yes, this is the purpose of the film, to force the viewer into the impossible task of reading the minds of the actors, an open ended story where any interpretation is good.
Why even use such good actors when there's no dialogue or scene that they can show their skill?
Many books were transferred to screen very successfully, but not this one. I suspect the subject is not fitting.
