Game of Thrones: You Win or You Die (2011)
Title Drop!
A bit slower then the last two episodes with a lot more politics and dialogue, which is greatly acted ,
particularly by Sean Bean who overall did a great job in the whole show portraying Eddard Stark
8/10.
Game of Thrones: A Golden Crown (2011)
Great use of climax
Episode six is a great continuation to episode five, while still adding so much new stuff to the lore that its easily my favourite episode until now. Great ending!
9/10.
Game of Thrones: The Wolf and the Lion (2011)
Best episode yet
This episode shows perfectly how a show should handle action and the lack of it after. Great pacing, great dialogue. First exceptional episode, had me on the edge of my seat
9/10.
Game of Thrones: Cripples, Bastards, and Broken Things (2011)
The story begins to unfold
After a lot of exposition in the first episodes, the story now begins to unfold, with all the key characters now introduced. After this episode i binged the whole season.
Still 8/10.
Game of Thrones: Lord Snow (2011)
More of a Filler, still great!
The third episode wasnt as gripping as the first two, but introduces us to two of the main players in the "game of thrones", also we first see Kings Landing, the capital of Westeros
8/10.
Game of Thrones: The Kingsroad (2011)
Nice continuation
While the first episode introduced us to the main characters, the scond one loses no time and jumps directly into the story, while developing the characters trough old war stories.
8/10.
Game of Thrones: Winter Is Coming (2011)
Great Start to a phenomenal Series
"Winter is Coming" is a excellent beginning that introduces the main characters in a creative way. The cliffhanger at the end.makes you want to watch the next episode directly after this one.
8/10.
Das finstere Tal (2014)
The Dark Valley
The Dark Valley is no masterpiece, but it reinvents the German western in its own way. Despite its setting in the Alps of the late 19th century, it is definitely a genre film as it should be. The staging of fresh blood in the white snow creates a wonderful contrast that proves that westerns also work in the mountains of Europe.
The film convinces with a monumental set design and its visual language, the latter replaces the dialogue in many moments, which is quite short in the film, but which wonderfully underlines the individual conversations and puts the various actors in the foreground with great facial expressions.
