When We Were Bullies (2021)
Why?
Self serving narcissistic dribble. How in the world is this Oscar nominated? It is soulless and horribly edited and written. Where is the resolution and where is the heart there is none it's just ranting on about how a grown man so guilty about being drawn in to a Lord of the flies type of situation. Not being mean, but this is not going to change anyone's life and offers no alternative or point of view to counterbalance his self-pity, which to me is what comes across most. This movie could've possibly have been salvaged if he would have interviewed the other boy involved but him being who he is and overthinking and being dramatic chose not to do this. Alas, very disappointing.
Last Light (2022)
Decent
This is a decent series.... it is well acted and has some good tense action scenes. It is a bit preachy about climate issues but it's OK it's not the best TV show ever but I've seen far worse.... definitely worth a watch. I was happy that it was not drawn out like many stories tend to be it was relatively short and to the point. It's good to see Matthew Fox back on tv and it's always a delight to see Joanne Froggart from Downton Abbey. I thought the little boy, Taylor Fay who played their son and is actually sighted in real life did an excellent job as well. Peacock continues to provide interesting content. Case in point is the show The Resort which I found to be excellent either great writing, casting and acting.
Taylor Tomlinson: Look at You (2022)
Gigglesnort funny
Honestly I've never heard of Taylor Tomlinson before (oddly enough) but simply put I think I'm very picky when it comes to comedy and this was absolutely amazing. I laughed out loud several times and was really impressed by her thoughtfulness and how she tied all her subjects together.... I very highly recommend.
Mistletoe Mixup (2021)
Holiday fluff
Just a sweet movie featuring Lawrence brothers who are super nice in person btw....so it's nice to see them in a fun family Christmas romp. Of course it is predictable but that's just the formula for a sweet little Christmas movie.
