Thor: Ragnarok (2017)
Had a blast
If you have to describe this movie in a word it would be fun just pure fun. Something engaging is happening every moment of this movie and it just keeps you at your seat sprinkled with some great laugh out loud moments makes it a great movie the inclusion of thor was a very good decision Loki is excellent the villain was menacing finished on an exciting note what more you can except. Made me even more excited for what is about to come ahead
FAVOURITE CHARACTER :: I am glad it's thor he is so likeable in this movie
FAVOURITE MOMENT :: there are many but I will go with the bridge battle sequence.
Doctor Strange (2016)
Something different but same
I really appreciate marvel for going in such a different route whether this movie worked or not it will for sure increase excitement for the next collaborative movie cause dr strange brings such a different aspect of powers to the avengers. As for the movie it started off pretty well but gradually just became an average origin story of any superhero especially the last part with dormamu felt very forced
But definitely the best part of the movie was its visuals one can watch it just because of that and the conflict and mystery around ancient one was exciting
Overall a good movie but more excited for what's about to come
FAVOURITE CHARACTER :: Stephen strange
FAVOURITE MOMENT :: strange being frustratied with his situation.
Jolly LLB 2 (2017)
A really good court room drama with some flaws
So I recently watched jolly llb 1 also and I find this movie very similar to that a struggling lawyer,does something wrong, gets back on track and wins but I must say that this movie did it better than the first one the story was a bit more emotionaly engaging and Akshay Kumar was an upgrad just that boman Irani should have stayed as the opposite lawyer not that the lawyer in this one is bad but he would have elevated it. Saurabh Shukla as the judge as always just steals the show awesome dialogues and their delivery on point
Just that some random song placement and the final ending was so rushed pulled the movie one notch down
FAVOURITE CHARACTER :: jolly
FAVOURITE MOMENT :: the final decision.
SK Sir Ki Class (2023)
Compact story with a message
I was searching a good web series on YouTube and stumbled upon it and I'd say that it was worth watching typical TVF story with engaging characters and a powerful climax with a message. Yes, it feels like a side show to the main series but nothing wrong with that it achieves what it was trying to do
The songs of first season of aspirants are being used as ost which is ok but I would have liked a new ost
The acting performances were good but the main lead was ok I would say but man.. the mam was too hot
FAVOURITE CHARACTER :: SK SIR
FAVOURITE MOMENT :: Definitely the climax whole series was leading up to it.
Sapne Vs Everyone (2023)
THIS IS A CALLED A MASTERPIECE
What can I say !? Cause anything that I will say just cannot justify how bloody good is this series i don't know how have the makers pulled it off but they have made something which is just perfect best series I have ever watched from starting to end from casting to dialogue to music to story just immaculate even the small role such as Jimmy's father is acted so brilliantly you get goose bumps whenever he appears let alone the main cast the conversations back and forth in this series is ..... (I just can't describe it) I don't know how everything just falls perfectly in place it is packaged perfectly and not a single minute you will feel bored the length of the series is also perfect. I generally don't like villains being villains for the sake of it but here the villian mamu omg brilliant
The show never take's itself lightly it doesn't try to add humour you will find 1 or 2 jokes in the whole series it is that tone whom fan I am mix it with amazing ost and powerful dialogues it will give some other levels of emotions
FAVOURITE CHARACTER :: very very tough to choose but I have to go with prashant (he is a character worth studying) but shout out goes to Jimmy (how did ambrish verma pull it off so nicely his conversation with dad when he confesses his frustration it took my heart off)
FAVOURITE MOMENT. :: huh.. you can just put the whole series it has so so sooooo many brilliant moments if I have to pick one it will surely go to the performance of Prashant in front of mother but other moments like ep 3 Jimmy vs Prashant in parking I just can keep going
I seriously beg you to watch it please support these type of shows cause this is true media that is why cinema was made to inspire people to leave a mark on them.
Black Panther (2018)
An engaging stand alone movie
This movie just on its own is very good it doesn't Need mcu to engage you and the credit goes to it's world building just awesome these type of movies just elevate whole universe the whole conflict to find the successor was believable just that the way to choose by just one fight is questionable. But the best thing which separates it from all the other marvel movies is the villain which is actually good in this movie cause he has real motivations and forced our hero to question his decisions really excited to see how this all ties to the main mcu
FAVOURITE CHARACTER :: T'challa
FAVOURITE MOMENT :: at last when a black boy asks is this yours.
Kung Fu Panda (2008)
Very good movie but I was expecting more
I have heard just praises about the film from everyone and I guess if I would have watched it 5 years beforehand it would have been even better. I am not saying it is a bad movie it is far better than your average American animated movie it has some value to its core the cast is very interesting dialogues are brilliant and the action scenes are awesome the movie could have been a bit longer to flush out the side characters a bit more I felt they were given a short hand and the movie rushed a bit excited for the next instalments
FAVOURITE CHARACTER :: master Chofu
FAVOURITE MOMENT :: backstory of tai lung and chifu.
Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)
Average story with some great moments
This is my first exposure to a full length spider man movie I really liked him in civil war and do like him in this movie but I felt the story was just too average bland villian good friend helping his friend fighting bad guys. It was not interesting enough liked the parts were he was struggling with his new suits but the whole movie was elevated by presence of tony stark. It can pass as a origin story but I hope for something better
FAVOURITE CHARACTER :: Tony stark
FAVOURITE MOMENT :: conversation between tony and Peter near the river (if you are nothing without this suit you shouldn't have the suit)
Panchayat (2020)
CALMING,GOOD BUT NOTHING MORE
As the season 3 of panchayat is approaching everyone is excited so I watched the season 2 which was getting praises all around and my impression of it was like yeh it's good but not great I mean it is similar to the first season in its relaxing feel and comedy but this time the story is less episodic and bit more connected I especially really liked the dynamic between Sachiv Ji and Rinki. You can say it is everything the first season was but better inclusion of an opposing party also makes it engaging The last episode seen was very good but I think it lacked some kind of build up it was very sudden and last seen makes me excited for season 3
FAVOURITE CHARACTER :: Sachiv ji/ Pradhan ji (very tough to choose)
FAVOURITE MOMENT :: the first time all 4 sit together for a beer (in season 1)
Black Widow (2021)
Average ending to a good Setup
So I watched this movie after civil war in my watch through of marvel and let's just say that it felt separate story in itself introduces some characters no one particularly stands out. The buildup of the movie was actually pretty good as we get to know the tragic past of Natasha and everything about the red room I was really but as we really reached the red room everything fell flat nothing was original. It felt like same old story of defeating the bad guy where we get help from someone with a heart in his team
FAVOURITE CHARACTER :: Natasha
FAVOURITE MOMENT :: I guess the sequence of Natasha meeting Malena.
Jolly LLB (2013)
Very distinctive goods and the bads
This movie can be easily divided into good and bad parts if I first talk about the good it is surely the story the same old story of right triumphs over wrong no matter how old it gets it will always be pleasurable as long as presented well. I liked all the actors in their place esp. Saurabh Shukla and Irani as the famous opposing lawyer the thing I really like is the bit of satire in the movie about our judicial system on evidences and obviously the dialogues like kon h ye log and merat se hu
And as for the bad I really didn't get why was the opposition lawyer so confident about the case I mean on what basis he was threatening the judge and the same old problem of including love interest for no real sake the sake up call could have been easily given by someone else also. And some incidents felt wpvery abrupt
FAVOURITE character :: THE JUDGE
FAVOURITE MOMENT :: THE LAST SPEECH OF THE JUDGE.
K.G.F: Chapter 1 (2018)
Just not my cup of tea
I just don't like this type of movies where the sole purpose is to show how overpowered and cool the main character is over and over again. I mean what is the point in all this the action is choppy and confusing to watch (typical south movie) and the story which is attached to the action is also non appealing to me and just present for the sake of it. The narration style is also very fragmented. This movie still gets a 5 from me is just because of the songs and the struggle his mom and the labourers a kgf went through
FAVOURITE CHARACTER :: rocky's mom
FAVOURITE MOMENT :: all the mom and son moments.
Captain America: Civil War (2016)
Mega spectacle with personal emotions
An action packed movie with personal stakes sprinkled on it a really nice combination if you ask me. The movie make me feel that whatever the avengers do it has some real repercussions. The world is constantly growing and disagreements are occurring which is very nice to watch. The movie has a very big cast and to my surprise everyone was given their hero moment. The inclusion of spider man was a master stroke made the movie much more fun.
FAVOURITE CHARACTER :: Spider man (cause I am really confused between cap and tony)
FAVOURITE MOMENT :: that airport scene (it was truly a treat,best moment until this point) esp. Cap vs spider.
Bao (2018)
Mom
This is what you can do in less than 10 minutes. You can pull anyone heart strings story tell at its best to remind us all that in the race of our own life we are leaving behind the one who have made us capable of doing that it gives us a chance to see the life of the parents who see their child grow reach new heights of success but somewhere somehow losing the essence of being a son. Whoever has watched this short go to your mom dad and just sit with them just give them 10 minutes they are giving you their life they are the first ones ho deserve your time even more than yourself
FAVOURITE CHARACTER :: mom
FAVOURITE MOMENT :: the revelation.
Culpa mía (2023)
A typical love story why it is so loved?
My friend recommended this movie and hyped it up like it is the next coming of god but it is bang average just cliche romance where the girls first hates the main lead but slowly and surely falls in love what is new in this just because the actors look good? The best part about the movie was the villain at the last but he was given such a short screen time the movie was bang average yes the songs were good apart from that nothing much is interesting in the movie you can watch it it will not bore you but.....
FAVOURITE CHARACTER :: dad (heavily under-utilised)
FAVOURITE MOMENT :: last chase sequence.
Taaza Khabar (2023)
A character study
I seriously want to say that the typical story of rags to rich then self ego causing downfall just watch the last episode to feel it it was damn poetic showing whatever you get it is you yourself that pulls you back when he returns to the same house just goose bumps man immaculate. The story structure is predictable but you will not get bored for a bit cause of execution and the actors omg acting is just top notch bb showed he can do deep roles like Vasant special shout out to his mom and dad who made this show from average to awesome whole show really comes back full circle
If they just give one more episode to the heel turn then it could have been legendary and the villian was fine up till the final episode where he really does something a real anti would do
FAVOURITE CHARACTER :: Vasant gawre (special shoutout to mom and dad)
FAVOURITE MOMENT :: THE DAD CLEANING SHOWS (it was sompersonal and hit really deep and the last scene of Vasant going back to his roots)
EXCITED FOR SEASON 2.
Copy (2018)
What a beautiful message
I just casually watched it because of Vikrant Massey cause I am his fan after 12th fail and man the 40 minutes spent we're totally worth it I don't want to spoil anyone regarding the plot of the movie but I would seriously encourage everyone to see this work of art so that this type of media can be encouraged and more such content can be pumped out of the industry. The whole runtime is meticulously used and just dive blindly into the show and you will definitely enjoy it
FAVOURITE CHARACTER :: Vikrant Massey
FAVOURITE MOMENT :: that final reveal WOW!! (made the show very good to awesome). :-)
Patna Shukla (2024)
Just a run of a mill kind of movie
I recently heard praise about this new film but I am sorry to say that it disappointed me not that it is bad but it is just too straightforward and standard nothing really felt tense it is just a classic good vs evil, David vs Goliath story in which the Goliath itself is not interesting enough which made even the course proceedings very slow. The mellow drama was in excess and I sometimes genuinely agree with th opposition that mrs Shukla was not giving any evidence regarding the case.
These are the type of movies that you watch to forget them tried to give a message but not good enough to land it in the heart
FAVOURITE CHARACTER :: Husband
FAVOURITE MOMENT :: when the husband supports her.
Delhi Crime (2019)
Immaculate first season but season 2 why??
Firstly I must convey that the first season Is beyond awesome everything from emotion to acting to locations some people might find the episodes in the middle a bit slow but I didn't the whole show was so addictive to me and very big part to that was the case and the fact that I live in Delhi I don't remember the real case and the situation then much but seeing it in the series send shivers down my spine
The whole cast was perfect and the best part about the case was it's environment no one tries to crack any silly it really tries to take itself seriously and I loved it.
But season 2 it rally lost the track first 2 episodes were good but what happened to the rest I thought they just rewrote the script or something .The case was the big culprit here cause it really didn't have any emotions and the tribal angle was abolished midway which could have been good . The team of police is way shorter and it doesn't makes you think it is just @nother average crime show
FAVOURITE CHARACTER :: without a single doubt Shaifali shah (what a actor she is absolutely perfect for the role)
FAVOURITE MOMENT :: ending of season 1 Shaifali shah dialogue to Rasika.
Nil Battey Sannata (2015)
That is why I watch movies
First stand and clap for what the movie tried to do this movie showed the value of dreams (which is the most democratic thing in this world cause everyone can dream and as it is said it is a crime to dream small,dream as big as you can and work for it and dreams do come true ) just brilliant if you see the mom wishing his daughter to have a dream it is the most real thing I have watched in a while. It is very easy to just accept your destiny but i takes real guts to dream beyond your limitations the collector shown in the movie is the person I want to become because the people who strive their way are the ones who know the value of their place and encourage everyone to really dream and change life of your own and people around you who are working so that you can surpass them as it said in this movie "Khud gaaadi chalyega to apne maa baap ko gaadi me kb ghumayega"
FAVOURITE CHARACTER :: Swara (brilliant acting)
FAVOURITE MOMENT :: the last dialogues behind the Taj Mahal (signifying how different is life at the other side and they are fighting to get to the other side)
Pokémon: Detective Pikachu (2019)
Dream coming reality
Whoever has ever watched Pokémon must have wished that these creatures should exist in real life I myself have dreamed about it multiple times and this movie delivers it ther is not shortage of Pokémon you can see them in background doing their daily work but I wished they showed more of this interaction between Pokémon and humans in daily activities
As for the movie it was purely saved by Ryan Reynolds brilliant punch lines the movie would have been a waste without him cause the case was fine but it was pretty easy to stop the final boss the ending was good but what kind of powers did the mewtwo had I know it is canon I feel the same every time I see it
FAVOURITE CHARACTER :: pikachu (Ryan Reynolds)
FAVOURITE MOMENTS :: his punch lines with psyduck.
Haseen Dillruba (2021)
A FUN RIDE
It is best described as a movie which will keep you engaged make you thrilled but fails to make you feel enough that one can talk about it for hours.
The movie just do it's job for which it was made as for the story it is good at best pretty straightforward for a thriller but the narrative will keep you hooked acting performance were fine except vikrant Massey who nailed it songs were mid and personally the climax was not as good as I was expecting we have seen this type of climax in so many movies excited for second part but not as much as everyone else
FAVOURITE CHARACTER :: Vikrant
FAVOURITE MOMENT :: Vikrant kept eating after hearing tapsees confession.
No One Will Save You (2023)
Different but average
Recently finished the movie and it is kind of a film which you will watch and forget about in some hours. Main selling point are its jump scares and chasing sequences which I found good at first but as the movie kept going and you get accustomed the scare part also gets pretty stale whole movie doesn't have any dialogue which makes it a bit different but I think dialogue would have made it better since the dialogues are absent while movie is carried by the expressions of the main lead. And she has done a good job at that.
FAVOURITE CHARACTER :: Katelyn (I mean she is the only one and has acted pretty well)
FAVOURITE MOMENT :: the chase sequence from the bus.
Ant-Man (2015)
Such a good enjoyable movie
This Is the type of freshness you sometimes need between the villains like ultron and thanos were the main protagonist is likeable the story is personal jokes are funny and action is engaging it was a really good time watching opened up many new gates in the mcu but above all the cast is very likeable especiallyh Paul and Hank Pym but again the main weakness is it's villian this is seriously a very big problem with mcu none of the villains seems legible the physics is questionable but I will let it pass
FAVOURITE CHARACTER :: Hank pym
FAVOURITE MOMENT :: the heist itself. (It was engaging enthralling )
Shaitaan (2024)
Enthralling ride with a dud ending
Ajay Devgan is back with a remake of a brilliant original film and just like drishyam he plays the role of a father trying to save his innocent family
On a whole note I'd say that the movie does have the content that will keep you engaged throughout the movie nothing like omg but ya you will feel that adrenaline for sure and major credit of that goes to the duo of Madhavan and the girl superb acting but the thing which stands out the most is the sound signature from the background music to the songs to the voice texture of the actors was just meticulous
But man I was really put off by that generic ending they could have done so much better it lacked the pure awww moment
FAVOURITE CHARACTER :: R Madhavan
FAVOURITE MOMENT :: mother attacking (that whole sequence)
