The White Lotus (2021)
Why is the music so loud
I don't understand why the editors of the show need to blare every section of music at top volume. Probably to cover that nothing happens in this show, and the characters are completely unlikeable, void of any personality.
Sitting around in bad moods with poor attitudes is bad enough in real life, why this show doesn't put any effort into giving these people a semblance of being an individual, why can't they try a little harder?
First season was 5 episodes of nothing (and the one rich dude fully harrasing a staff member and stalking him) and one episode of something happening, season 2 is less episodes with just as little happening.
Dark Side of the Ring (2019)
A must for old school fans
If you're a fan of wrestling history, this is definitely worth watching. Well presented - and the amount of talent that has appeared on the show to talk is impressive.
Big downfall in season 3 is Tommy Dreamer comparing sexual assault to his ugly ass haircut. Please don't have him back on the show.
And the more Jim Cornette and JR, the better! Be great if they would get Tony Schiavone on there too.
Dark Side of the '90s (2021)
Those nostalgia feels
A well written series that gives you series nostalgia feels for a past lifetime. It's fascinating to hear new stories about things you grew up with. I hope they do series on different decades.
Emily in Paris (2020)
Lockdown travel eye candy
Emily is a self absorbed, inconsiderate idiot who acts 18 but is confirmed by Lily Collins to be almost 30, but the show has charm. Being stuck in lockdown for two years it's been nice to see another part of the world and see the culture even if Emily is out to ruin it.
Her wardrobe is hideous. It's all custom made designer gear and I wouldn't be caught dead in any of it. I don't understand the bucket hat obsession or the fact it always looks like a clown threw up the new outfit she puts on with different pieces of random material found on the ground slapped together into an outfit that is completely inappropriate to wear in an office. What office on this planet would allow crop tops? When they tell her to wear black, they are doing her a favour.
The scenery is always a scene stealer. I love being able to see the landmarks.
Ashley Park's character is the only one with a real personality. Give her more air time and less of her being Emily's "mirror" into making decisions that aren't idiotic.
Are they trying to write Sylvie's character as arrogant or just a bully? It sure is hard to tell.
The one thing that gets real annoying is when they show the photos she's instagramming, and as she takes them you can see they would look completely different (ie the giant piece of hair across her collarbone just disappears). And what authority does she had to take photos of other people's children and post it online for the world to see?
How does she manage to post a photo to Insta for feminine products (and again the photo doesn't match the one you saw her taking) and gets it retweeted?
And of course everyone wants to slam Gabriel like he's a screen door in a trailer park.
FBI: International (2021)
Not worth watching
Stop force feeding a "love story" down our throats every episode. Is it in that main chick's contract to drop her pants every episode? (I haven't even cared enough to learn her name!) I'm no prude but it's legitimately not interesting to watch. Those two characters like to screw, we get it.
The characters/actors are generic, there is no charm to it that hooks you in - usually Dick Wolf's crew are good at hiring actors but this is a waste of airtime. I purely gave it a shot because it was under the FBI banner but it's just not interesting. Even the cameos from Isobel and OA won't save this hot mess.
The first episode you could see the camera crew in window reflections and it just takes you right out of it.
This is truely the RC Cola of the FBI series. Think I'd rather go thirsty,
