Hunter x Hunter: A × Brutal × Battlefield (2012)
! Epic !
I'm recently watching HunterxHunter for the first time and finally there is a climax. This episode is an absolute epic conclusion of everything that happened till now and wow I'm speechless.
So now the emotions aside, what makes this episode so epic for me?
-Chrollo is a good looking, absolut evil but still really moving character. I don't get it how they managed to creates this feelings all at once in me, but I love him. And I really like his look here; way more than his usual one.
-The Troupe finally gets to do something significant and not only sitting and babbling. And what they do is absolute crazy. I was at the edge of my seat wondering what was going on on the screen.
-The soundtrack was a real banger and I mean it when I say that. This episode already had a very artistic like atmosphere but then they dropped Mozart on the scene. Never was Lacrymosa used this perfectly before.
The following can be consider as a spoiler:
They really played the most famous Requiem while telling "This is our Requiem for you" what a brilliant move.
I love this episode and I think it will stay with me forever.
Thanks for reading my words. Have a nice day ^^
Hunter x Hunter: Ging × and × Gon (2012)
An episode about friendship
It's my first time watching HunterxHunter and I'm enjoying every bit of it, but this episode set this Anime as one of the bests for me. I love the dynamic of Gon and Killua, their friendship is really something beautiful I would love to had myself as a child. I have now taken them both deep into my heart and can't wait to see where their journey will lead.
That's all I had to say about it. Now follow a few comments I like to share on the best scenes. So spoiler warning...
-Gon returning home with Killua and his aunt immediately recognising him and taking care of him like her own son: what a heartwarming moment, Gons family seems to be really caring
-Gon and Killua taking a bath together: just hilarious, I love it ^^
-Gon showing Killua the island. First they go fishing and then they camp together in front of an open fire and just talk: I have to admit the ost and their dialogue made me tear up and that's why this episode is the most beautiful for me.
-Gon asks his aunt and grandma about Ging: don't have much to say about it but the scene ending with Killua sleeping in Gons bed was hell cute.
Yeah that would be enough, I'm happy to witness this Anime, thanks for reading, have a good day :D.
Death Note: Desu nôto: Donten (2006)
Anime at its peak!
There is no epic fight, no epic rage sequence nor a tragic background story revealed in this episode, but it is still one of the most thrilling moments of anime ever!
This is the episode that settles death note for me as the greatest show of its genre.
I'm recently rewatching this series after 10 years and although I had forgotten almost everything (due to my young age back then, by the way) the last scene still remained in my memory.
I think it's the excellent execution that made the moment so remarkable. An intense tension is built up and held until the last second and in addition there comes the brilliant ost. In the end you just sit there in shock and question the goodness of our beloved main character for the first time.
Iconic episode!!
Death Note: Desu nôto: Rebirth (2006)
Still great after 10 years?
I think the time has come to finally see this iconic series again. It's been now exactly 10 years that I have seen this anime for the first time and I have to be honest, I was nine at that time, so I absolutely have no clue what this all was about.
But wow, this episode brings back memories of the 2000s for me and it's beautiful. I love the music, the animations, the style and THE VIBE... it is absolutely unique. It's the perfect start even if it seems cheesy at first and don't panic, I'll explain very briefly what I mean by cheesy. The main character is the perfect student and just by chance he looks out the window and sees something falling. Hours later, he goes out and picks up a notebook... I think you understand what I'm getting at, but I have absolutely no problem with it.
This is the start of something great and I already love it.
Shingeki no Kyojin (2013)
! unbelievable great !
I've actually never been a fan of anime and I admit, it was a big mistake of me to make this my first because now I can't watch any other anime (or series) in this world without comparing it to this masterpiece. And unfortunately I know nothing will ever come close to this...
Now that this epic journey has come to an end, I don't know what else I can say about it except that it was an honor to have been able to experience it. Every single episode is an epiphany of entertainment and I as an author myself can't help but admire the creativity and narrative. This is the peak of human storytelling and I pity every story that comes after this one because nothing can ever come close to it.
Every episode is fantastic and I even have to praise the controversial ending. I'm happy with it and couldn't imagine any other logical path, even if some of the implementation made some people angry, it can't take away the joy of the rest.
I don't think anything in the world has ever influenced my life as much as this series and I am grateful for it. Thank you Isayama for all the lessons you showed us, thank you for all the feelings you brought out in me (damn I haven't cried like that in decades) and thank you to everyone involved.
That's my rating and I can't say anything more than praise and thanks. If you haven't seen the series, just watch it and stop reading my stupid praises. My praises are nothing compared to this.
Foundation: Long Ago, Not Far Away (2023)
What a spectacle!!!
This episode is by far the best episode and not only of the series but of any sci-fi show ever created. I'm speechless.
Everything is finally coming together.
I could never imagine that such epic is possible in science fiction.
From the beginning to the end, everything was perfectly written, acted and animated (and oh god how perfect the cgi is).
The episode starts with a flashback. Right from the beginning you can already see that this episode is going to be outstanding. And here I just want to quickly praise the fantastic actress of Demerzel (Laura Birn), she definitely has become my favourite character.
I probably don't even have to say it but Lee Pace literally blossoms in the role. Keep going guys!!
Fantastic fantastic, I can't really say anything more than praise and more praise. Foundation has officially won my heart.
